Huvan Beach Hotel is right on the Hulhumale beach. There is an excellent restaurant called Red Snapper downstairs. It is close to grocery shopping stores like Red Wave and SJ Mall. However, the room was very small, and the window was facing a wall, limiting available sunlight into the room.

1 night stopover

This was a one night stay because the airlines canceled our departure flight - we had already been in the Maldives for 2 weeks. Hotel in a great location right across from the beach and surrounded by many restaurants and cafes. Red Snapper & Coffee Bean is good and right at the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable.

Actually got checked Into Amber Beach as the other hotel was under construction. No complaints. Amber beach is nice and they included a free breakfast as well as assistance for our seaplane transport

This is a basic guest house. It works if u just want a space to get through a night before island hopping. Room on the smaller side n in need refurbishment. Morning we can hear seaplane and construction next door, but we knew before booking that it might be noisy. Breakfast was nice and staff are friendly. :) A* service. Location near the beach n mini marts are 5 min walk away.

A very nice boutique hotel, just across from the beach. The room was small, but livable, bed was comfy, AC and WiFi worked well. Nice rooftop area (with food brought up from the restaurant downstairs). Good breakfast buffet, and a decent menu for lunch and dinner. The staff were excellent! They were very responsive, helpful, and friendly. I enjoyed my time there, and would stay there again.

Helpful staff make this place a good option.

Very good communication by the staff, location perfect for an overnight airport transfer. Unfortunately was quite noisy within the corridors of the hotel with the rooms not that soundproof. Loads of eating options within walking distance. Not the best value for money that we encountered in our 2 week Maldivian stay.

We were only staying for one night before our flight home. The location is excellent, right opposite the beach, plenty of eateries around the area. The rooftop terrace is very nice. We also ate at the restaurant downstairs and Ahmed was very attentive. The hotel staffs we encountered were all polite and helpful. They booked our airport transfer early in the morning for us and this was very convenient. Overall, it was a good stay for us. Thank you Huvan Beach Hotel!

The hotel was clean, beautiful , the staff particularly Ansar , executive staff person and Amy , GRO , were always available to answer questions about surroundings, getting anywhere and amenities needed that were related to the stay. The staff were knowledgeable, easy to communicate with in English and ready to be helpful in any way to enjoy my stay in Male at the hotel . It couldn’t have been easier after a long 30 hour flight plan to rest comfortably and safely across from the beach in a lively location .

Location is close to dining options and the water. There is an air conditioned area next door while waiting for your room. You can order food/drinks at the cafe. The hotel is small and does not have a separate room to secure luggages. Luggages can be left by the reception room in the lobby.

Hard beds, but a great little hotel!

On first appearance we didnt love this hotel. The bed is HARD - so hard we thought it was just a base. The bathroom is very average. But! We really enjoyed the restaurant- very slow, but great service and food is amazing. Its not in the best location, but you cant deny the lovely beach view.

Location is ideal as its just of the beach and many local places to eat evan at 7am. Supermarket (SJ mall) is a 5 min walk for snacks and drinks. Male is a ferry ride away and 15 min walk will cost you 10 MR each person rather then 85MR Hotel does need updating as it is quite run down woth broken frames windows and blinds that dont open. Staff are helpful other then the lady at reception sorry to say who could of been more helpful. Manager was happy to us after we moaned about room we was first put in. Sec room wasnt much different, i will say its probably the better hotel on that part of the islands. Beautiful beach is just outside the hotel with a beautiful view from the restaurant on the roof. Would recommend this hotel for its location.

We stayed here 1 night while transiting from the Maldives. We chose to stay here based on reviews, and frankly, after stayingbthere, we wonder if they are all legitimate. Anyway, it was just for 1 night. We read they pick you up at the airport which we arranged, although there was a charge. It was a long wait and the driver had a difficult time to find us, and the language barrier didn't help the situation. The hotel is likely an old apartment building possibly. The rooms are very tiny with little space to even open up luggage. However, it was clean and sufficient for 1 night. We had read there were restaurants near by and we walked around and found mostly street food. We did find a more typical looking restaurant one street over. We were a bit shocked at the garbage there was along the streets on the sidewalks and around. It seems like a very uncared for area. BTW, if you like a beer or drink in the evening, bring your own in your suitcase, there's no alcohol anywhere here, a contrast to the resorts and hotels on other islands. The hotel had a nice coffee shop with a couple of desserts available.
