Along one of the many beaches of Hua Hin, Thailand, sits a tiny peninsula that houses Wat Khao Takiab. Like most temples, a statue of Buddha is displayed in some shape or form. Here the statue is one of a standing Buddha with the palms of both hands upright and facing outwards, called “Repelling the Oceans”. One common meaning of this posture is the belief that on a visit to India, Buddha used the power of meditation to repel a wall of water that was unleashed by a hermit in hopes to cause a flood. Ok hotel, men slidte faciliteter

Egentligt et udmærket hotel med venligt personale og godt poolområde. Desværre levede værelset ikke op til vores forventninger, da især badeværelset var i rigtig dårlig stand. Vandtrykket var meget skiftende mellem ingen vand og vand ud over det hele, og det var umuligt at indstille en lunken temperatur uden at blive skiftevis skoldet og frosset. Der lugtede desuden meget af cigaretrøg i værelset om aftenen, måske gennem airconditionen.

The beds are very hard , we asked for mattress pads but the did not work , pillows are hard as well , sitting outside is hard wood stools , no soap in the room , ac works well , breakfast is terrible and service was not good either , the pool is wonderful and there always seemed to be a chair , ac works well , but there is mosquitos in the room ,
