"Perfect location! "

"Allowed us to check in early which was very much appreciated. Spacious double room, comfy bed. What let it down slightly was the kitchenware. The room had 2 stovetop hobs, a fridge and just 2 plates, 2 bowls, enough cutlery for 2, a frying pan and a larger casserole pan. We made it work but a few more utensils would have made things easier. A kettle would also be great. There are microwaves in the shared area. There are lots of other amenities in the hostel, the rooftop terrace is amazing. And the supermarket next door is very handy. Quite far out of town but buses are on the doorstep. A great budget stay for Oslo."

"No amenities not even a water bottle or coffee in the room. Construction work across a one lane street was noisy. A conscience hotel would post it is in a Construction Zone. Strawberry’s Comfort Xpress established that its personnel will lie to get business, and the price gouge lodgers. Reserved at $139/night. I was then told there were NO rooms available for an extra night. Suddenly, an extra appeared (actually the Xpress was mostly empty as a fire alarm prove). The charge for one extra night was $305!! At check in I was told the rate would be a little higher…Right, more than Double."

"Ok, SmartHotel was good and would recommend. They are currently doing some repairs in the hallways but once that’s done it will be better. Mini rooms are tight but perfect for a back packer, two suit cases not so much. Recommend you sign up through the SmartHotel website which gets you free breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. I think they were the best part of the Hotel."

"Friendly staff and good breakfast but that is it. Drains in shower and sink are super slow. Shower leaks into bathroom. Bed is small so for two it’s cramped. No AC and room was 23C so opening window lets in cold air but streets are very noisy. Pillows are flat so ask for two. Coffee machine in lobby, which charges, did not work but did take the money."
