The Red Lion Inn in Katy is conveniently located in a great area. This is my second time staying at this hotel because of the location, cleanliness, and friendly staff.

Traveled with family and this place did not disappoint! Check in was easy and the staff was helpful and respectful. Room was very clean and the breakfast was pretty decent! I would definitely recommend this place and would book again!

Staff was great but there was only one person to handle everything. There was a convention (lots of guests), an issue with someone’s booking, loud guests, and internet issues. The gentleman on staff did VERY well, but definitely could have used some help. Not impressed with turning lights off at the door and having to find the bed in the dark. Need lamps near the bed

Even a free toothbrush!

Very good location. Close to eateries and freeway. Got gas at the 7-11 next door, good price. Room is pretty spacious and modern. There are usb ports and a toothbrush. I have never seen a complimentary toothbrush other than super high end hotels. Breakfast was pretty normal, but missing waffles. Felt pretty safe. Plenty of shopping nearby.

New property that already is struggling with maintenance issues. We booked a room with king bed. When we walked in it smelled like an ashtray. We requested a switch and it turned out they did not have any other king size bed rooms (which we paid extra for) and were given a two twin beds instead. The lady at the reception desk was unfriendly and seemed bothered. The room was overall spacious and the bed was comfortable. Good for one night.

Drain in bathroom sink is jammed

All I have to say is overall the hotel is nice. The breakfast complementary breakfast is nice and convenient. You have a variety of different items so if you are vegetarian, you more likely would be able to eat a bagel or pancakes. People don’t care about breakfast. Bar is off the chain, the only problem I have is my sink in my room was stopped up. The plug was jammed where I could not undo the plug to drain the water so that was the only thing about it. I couldn’t brush my teeth unless I got in the shower, which was a little too inconvenient so if you ever come across the room, make sure to another room.
