Room was a let down. No kettle or fridge, only 1 wall outlet (outside of the bathroom ones) and the bathroom wasn’t very clean. Was in an ok location and easy to get to public transport.

Value for money

The host of the accommodation is really helpful and very kind. The location is quite far from the city center, and if you don’t have your own car, transportation can be challenging in the evening. (We used Uber.) Additionally, there are many markets around, so you won’t have any problems getting food and other necessities. Our room was very small and didn’t have a refrigerator or air conditioning.

They had no record of our reservation on the auto-check-in machine. No one there to speak to. Place looked super sketchy just from the outside. We never even stayed. Directly booked a place in old town Colmar instead.

Although it was clean, it was so dated and old looking that I was very leery. I checked everything for bedbugs, something I rarely do. The outer safety door had no locking mechanism and the doors do thin I could hear the noise from the next room clearly. The ‘breakfast buffet’ was an extremely loose term for the less than basic offerings.

Wish I could rate this lower than one star. Room looked nothing like the pictures, was not anywhere near a picturesque location. Rooms share a common outside door with the adjoining room. Bathroom has shower and toilet in one compartment, sink in another. Walls are paper thin. Beds are uncomfortable. only stay here if you’re exhausted like I was.

Well, it was cheap. And the staff was okay. The hotel itself is rather horrible. Located in an industrial zone, it is smelly, decrepit and feels dirty. I came away itchy. No airco or anything, so I had to open the (barely functioning) window to get any sleep. Avoid if you can.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN OUR WHOLE EUROPE TRIP

IT WAS VERY BAD SITUATION. WE HAD TO LEAVE THE HOTEL BECAUSE THE ROOM WAS DIRTY, HOT, NO VENTILATION, NO FAN, AND STAFF VERY UNHELPFULL. WE ASKED TO FIX EVERYTHING OR GIVE THE MONEY BACK, AND THE EMPLOYEE THAT SAID HE WAS THE MANAGER, SAID ANY OF BOTH OPTIONS WERE NOT POSSIBLE. WE WROTE AN EMAIL TO HOTELS.COM ALREADY WITH ALL DETAILS ASKING FOR A REFUND, BUT NO RESPONSE YET. WE HOPE YOU CAN DO IT SOON.

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent experience attempting to check-in at Hotel Heco Colmar location. When I arrived in Colmar on the evening of December 9th, I tried multiple times to call the hotel to notify you of my arrival and ask for directions. Unfortunately, despite calling numerous times, no one ever answered the phone. Ultimately, after waiting for over an hour outside the hotel late at night and having no way to get in touch with anyone on their staff, I was forced to book a room at the nearby Hotel F1 for my stay instead. Given that I was unable to check-in to the room I had reserved and paid for due to being unable to reach anyone at the hotel by phone or email, I kindly request a full refund for the night I had booked. Please advise on next steps for issuing this refund. I hope you will improve your policies for responding to guest communications quickly, as this was an extremely frustrating experience that led me to take my business elsewhere.
