D Sabana Hotel San José
The hotel was exceptionally clean and quiet despite nearby construction outside the building, and facelift renovations within. It had a real contemporary feel. The staff was helpful in resolving a minor reservation snag.

Water pressure and bathrooms are dated but it was great and convenient to get car and head to la fortuna next day

Barceló San José
The most wonderful bed. The windows opened wide. Great staff, super clean, nice shower. Will stay again if we have the opportunity. It was worth a stay of more than one night!
