"Both bedrooms smelled very bad because of the bathroom pipes. We felt we slept in a sewer. Terrible night sleep because windows had to be opened and there were a lot of mosquitoes coming in the room. We woke up with multiple mosquito bites. Also, when booking it did not state an additional charge for a late check, but we were told that there would be a late check charge after 9pm. "

"Hotel itself was great. Room was clean. Location cant be beat. Staff were very friendly. The only reason i rated it less than perfect had NOTHING to do with the hotel. Cannot stress enough—-the hotel was terrific! Heads up to travelers. The town of Portosin is nearly dead in the off season. "We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, our room was clean and comfortable with interesting stone type walls and skylights. We booked a "city view" room, but just be aware that means if you open a skylight and stick your head out you can see some city views (inclusing the cathedral spires). Breakfast was good (not amazing, but good). But the best part was it was just steps away from the cathedral. We walked the camino and it was so nice to finish right at our hotel. We enjoyed being able to walk to shops and restaurants. We will be back!"
