"The Plantation Hotel is a very unique property with a lot of charm. The pool was excellent and one of the highlights of my stay. Although many of the other amenities were closed due to ongoing renovations, it's easy to see that the property has great potential and will be beautiful once the work is completed.
The biggest disappointment was the lack of drinking water. There was no complimentary water in the room, and the front desk didn't even have bottled water available for purchase. While I was at the pool, I walked to the front desk hoping to buy a bottle of water, but instead I was told to use a vending machine that was about 400 feet away. Having to make that walk in a swimsuit was inconvenient and unnecessary. Offering bottled water at the front desk would greatly improve the guest experience, especially during the renovations."
