Short break with son and dog.

Our bungalow (Walnut) was in a quiet, peaceful setting with an open view across the lawns to a wooded area with 2 lakes, and a patio with sunshine into the late evening. Inside it was spotlessly clean, comfortably furnished and had a kitchen fully equipped for self catering. The management was friendly and responsive to our questions. The park is dog friendly, but you need to keep dogs on a lead on site as there are chickens and rabbits roaming freely. A lovely place for a short break in peace and quiet.

Great setting but not accomodation

The settings is stunning but unfortunately the accommodation urgently needs updating.The plates and cups are chipped,the cooker must be 30 years old ,and takes a long time to heat up .The TV must be 19 inch ,the lounge suite sinks in at the back causing sore backs .There is no towel rails to hang your towels.The main bedroom,well the dressing table is a shelf ,there is no shelves just a wardrobe to hang clothes .The duvet is very thin and old and the cover is faded and polyester, horrible.My grandchildren loved the animals and it was a great setting for them to play outside .Oh we stayed in Walnut .

Great family location

A lovely, quiet and tranquil location with excellent facilities. It’s run by a great host (Lisa) and the properties have everything you could want. Two fishing lakes, a field for dogs, chickens, turkeys, rabbits etc all running around - 😊. A great family stay.

Amazing relaxing and peaceful stay

Amazing relaxing and peaceful stay. Very well maintained cottage, ground and farm animals. We already miss the smell of newly cut grass and the lovely morning and evening walks. My two boys loved seeing the little animals and the big fishes in the lake! The only suggestion I would have is about the Wi-Fi which I hope will be available in the cottages when we next visit :) Thank you Lisa and Paul!

Ideal place for getting away from it all.

What a fantastic place. We stayed in Walnut and couldn't have been more happy. The accommodation was spacious and well equipped. The hosts were very welcoming. A rural location ideal for getting away from it all. We will be back.

Thornbury Park

Had a very enjoyable stay at Thornbury holiday park, nr Holsworth. Our accommodation was perfect for a relaxing weekend break, the family really enjoyed seeing all the animals on site. Will definitely be booking another trip. Highly recommended.

Fantastic accommodation and view.

Great place to stay, our view looking out to the lake was fantastic with all the animals roaming around freely. We stayed in Acacia Lodge which had loads of room, fully equipped large kitchen, large living/dining room and plenty of storage in the bedrooms. Very tidy and clean on arrival and very well maintained.

Great place. Kids loved the animals, especially the lovely turkey! Loads of space and really comfortable airy accommodation. Shame we only stayed for two nights.
