"This was a surprising property for me. At first it looked more like a typical American Motel but WHOA was I surprised ! This was a beautiful establishment with kind and friendly staff, VERY comfortable accommodations , a fantastic cafe and restaurant, and a beautiful view. I was so thrilled to stay at this hotel! Very affordable as well. I loved it !"

"We got stuck in snow traveling up the road to our cottage, and it was very scary for us. The road should have been closed sooner than it was, but nevertheless our host helped and came to get us. He drove us from our stuck rental car to our cottage and then brought us back to the car the following morning and helped us dig our car out (literally shoveled our car out with us)!!!! "the man and women at the front desk were amazing. they went above and beyond for us. we were in a car accident (rear ended) on our first day in Iceland (about 15 minutes from the cottages) and were very stuck as we couldn’t drive the car or make phone calls. we got in contact with them and they not only picked us up but moved us into a room in the main part of the building so that we could be close to the front desk to use their phones to make many calls back and forth to our car rental company....

"A wonderful place to stay. It was really a mini-cabin, with a kitchenette and a couch, plus a long bench on which to lay suitcases and stuff. I really loved the experience staying at this location and highly recommend. Only issue if you are coming in late is check the procedure in advance or call them earlier during the day. I checked in pretty late and was not provided details about my room number and checkin procedure via phone or email. Instructions were provided on their booking page and the glass doors outside the guesthouse. However, reaching there in the dark I completely missed the name and room number attached to the glass doors and had to call the number provided inside the guesthouse. Luckily someone answered the call and guided me in the right direction. Thank you. "
