"Christy was very thoughtful and the room was quiet and comfortable"

"The place has a living room, kitchen (stove works but hasn’t been used) dinner area, bedroom (great heater and air con) and a full bathroom with a tub. I like this place a lot because it’s very comfortable and a mile walking distance from the Pelican Bay Spa. I was able to soak all the time that I stayed and even the whole day and night that I checked out. The service was very friendly and the Spa was great and it was easy to make a reservation. If you pick the Amex C bring some food from Walmart if you arrive after 4:00pm or want a late snack. We think this is the best place if you want to stay at the Pelican! I recommend 3 days to get the best experience."

"The hotel exceeded our expectations. The complimentary breakfast was better than any of the other six hotels that we visited on our last trip. The gentleman in charge of the breakfast always greeted us when we entered, and made sure all of the offerings were well supplied and the warm foods were fresh. The manager behind the desk greeted us by name and offered to put on fresh coffee. "

"We stay here whenever we come to town, as we love it! We do miss the green Chiles, bacon or sausage during the week.I know it’s been a long while since the green Chiles were available at breakfast. The long haired guy that does the breakfast takes his time a bit too much. Others were waiting for plates for their food, some had to grab some from their rooms. Coffee seemed watered down and he’d leave the carafe on the machine after brewing and disappear. Other guests had to put it out. His lack of enthusiasm could be better. Never smiled. We were excited to have fresh brewed regular coffee this morning and sausage!! It was a different worker (we’ve seen him prior on our other stays) and he made sure things were well stocked for the busy crowds, and kept everything cleaned. And HE SMILES!!! We enjoy the restaurant across the street but didn’t want to pay for breakfast there every morning. "

"Absolutely love this mom and pop place! This place has history and you can tell the owners and staff do there best to preserve this hidden treasure. I loved the way they reached out the day we were set to arive to confirm our arival and give us directions. This motel is tucked behind a gas station so convenient if you need a snack or any other item. Close to downtown, hot springs, farmers market and Elephant Butte. Very clean and there is a slight smell due to the natrual age of the building. We felt very safe and had a wonderful stay, we look forward to coming back and bringing the whole family next time. I would highly recommend this motel because the people are so personable and i would prefer that over any high chain hotel. "
