An amazing base to explore the Highlands. It’s so picturesque and serene. The rooms are clean and beautifully laid out. The staff is outstanding. We were so happy with our stay!

Best place to stay in Highlands, NC

Our stay at half mile farm was an excellent one. It is located in a beautiful and peaceful area; really close to Highlands downtown. We will definitely be back. It is a perfect getaway if you are looking to relax and be in nature.

Great resort!!

It was amazing. The resort is beautiful and the staff is so friendly, we had a great time eve though we were snowed in for most of the day. The Elizabeth cabin was romantic and cozy.

Beautiful property, with wonderful service. Stay included complimentary happy hour, and full breakfast. This was a birthday and we came back from dinner and found champagne and rose petals in room. Lovely stay!!

We really enjoyed this quiet property. The perfect spot to unwind away from the busy city with friendly staff and perfectly appointed spaces. The shared spaces were homey and lovely. Check out the "quiet room" which is so much more and the live music by the fire was so nice. Don't discount the amazing breakfast provided. What a pleasant surprise!

What a beautiful spot! The accommodations were fabulous including one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and so filling. Love this place and love that’s it’s not right in the middle of the town!

Excellent stay in Highlands!

Terrific hotel and experience. We loved being in the peace and quiet outside of town while only 5 minutes from downtown Highlands. The breakfast was superb...the tavern was exceptional...and the people (service) will keep us coming back. The complimentary shuttle to town was a bonus. Worth the extra few dollars!!

Absolutely wonderful facility. We just loved it. Staff are amazing. Only negative would be our water froze our last night and we had to shower in a different room/building. I would have expected the hotel to "make it right" with some kind of adjusted rating. They did not.

This quaint property in the Carolina mountains is the perfect get away. It is close enough to town, yet set back away from the hustle and bustle. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Lots of amenities and mini-amenities.

The main downside was the stealth Christian recruiting. Christian music on the PA, motto on the wall of our room. If you are not Christian, this is insulting.

Beautiful, rustic, wonderful staff!

Love it, beautiful grounds and friendly, helpful staff. I would stay in the main lodge next time and not the cottage. Was a little too rustic for me and I killed a spider before bed right by my head and kept thinking that there was something crawling on me after that and didn't sleep well. The breakfast was pretty good and I cannot say enough about how wonderful and accommodating the staff is and how beautiful this place is.
