We booked this "cabin" for our family this summer over a holiday. When we arrived, the owner had rented the cabin to another family and didn't notify hotels.com or us that the cabin was booked and he was staying upstairs. We were three hours from home and had to find another hotel in the area. Now 2 months later, the owner is refusing to refund $335 to us. He is stating to hotels.com that we were a NO show which is absolutely NOT true. We were there, spoke to the "man in charge" and he told us he gave the cabin to another couple. 60 days later, we are still going back and forth with our credit card company and hotels.com to get this fraudulent charge removed. We are having to battle with emails and confirmation numbers etc. to try and recoup money for staying in this "cabin" even though we couldn't stay there.
