Check the location!!

I booked this Hotel based on its location as indicated on the Hotels.com website - it shows it close to the beach and at the end of the strip in Malia - IT IS NOT THERE !! Having got the bus from the airport and walked down the strip with bags and family to find only an undeveloped car park was to say the least, disappointing. Ten minutes later after asking other hotels and a very helpful bar owner, we found the correct location which was a 5 minute taxi ride back up to the main road in Stallis NOT Malia. (bus stop number 27 is just outside and Blue Seas Hotel is the other side of the road). The hotel itself is not bad, and it seems the owner is your best friend if you spend plenty of time at the bar. The main road can be somewhat noisy so take that into consideration is traffic noise bothers you. If you love the beach be prepared for a ten minute walk to get there.

SEJOUR VILLA ANNA et VILLA MARIE

Au début notre séjour s'est bien déroulé à l'hôtel principal "Villa Anna" que nous connaissions de l année dernière: la chambre qui donne sur la montagne au calme est grande (3 lits dans la chambre et 1 lit dans la cuisine séparée avec quelques ustensiles pour cuisiner) et a une grande terrasse, la salle de bains est petite avec une douche qui inonde tout. Le ménage est proposé au milieu de la journée quand la chambre et/ ou salle de bains sont occupées ce qui ne peut que provoquer votre refus,papier toilette est proposé à compte gouttes... Au bout de 4 jours sur 5(!), cela veut dire la veille de votre départ le propriétaires nous fait déménager dans son autre hôtel Villa Marie (il nous a prévenu mais avions-nous le choix pour refuser?) et se trouve plus loin de la ville et la plage. L hôtel donne sur la route nationale qui passe à 10 mètres et où la circulation ne s'arrête jamais. Ceci ne pose pas de problèmes dans la journée mais devient insupportable la nuit surtout si comme nous, vous n'avez pas de télécommande pour la clim et si vous voulez respirer vous êtes obligés d'ouvrir vos fenêtres? Nous n'avions pas de chance non plus avec l'invasion de moustiques. Pour conclure, cette nuit nous n'avions pas pu nous endormir, épuisés que vers 06 matin; Dommage de gâcher ainsi le dernier jour
