I was unable to go to the property since since I tried to contact the property before my stay about a week in advance and did not receive any response until about 10hours before I was supposed to fly out. The response I received was an automated one that stated the hotel was closed . I only received this response after several attempts to contact the hotel. I have since then continued to try and contact the hotel with still no response. Expedia was also not helpful saying they could only offer me a refund if I got a hold of the hotel, even after I explained I haven’t been able t get a hold of the hotel for a week - week and a half and that the only response I did get was an automated one that stated they were close and that was the first time I was informed of that even though my flight was supposed to take off in less than 10 hours. Overall I am sure the property is nice ans it is good to know they value their employees and their customers safety but the lack of communication and ability to work with customers to reschedule or refund and notify them of the closure is absolutely horrible.

Rooms were very clean and facilities very nice in good condition. Customer service missing sometimes in the bars, pools or restaurants. For example, we asked them to restock pool towels 5 times in one day and it still never happened. Overall highly recommended!

Most spectacular service, perfect relaxing couples getaway. This is not a resort for people looking to have evening entertainment but if you're seeking relaxation & to enjoy each others company then this is certainly the place to find it. We were overwhelmed by the service & hospitality of every staff member...nothing is too much trouble & they go the extra mile every time...our best holiday experience 😊

Excellent hotel with very kind and helpful staff
We were particularly impressed with the staff from the moment we landed at Gan airport. It was clear that they wanted to make our visit special and they succeeded! We were celebrating our 30 wedding anniversary while staying there and they arranged for us to dine outside under the stars and decorated our dinner table with extra fresh flowers. They also, very unexpectedly produced a specially made wedding anniversary cake at the end of dinner and when we returned to our room they had decorated it too with flowers and a palm leaf written wedding anniversary message on the bed! It was so thoughtful and very touching and it was clear that they delighted in seeing their guests happy and having a good experience. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The beaches was beautiful clean and the buggy drivers always helpful and willing to drive you wherever you wanted to go on the island. The food was excellent and there was plenty of choice of meals. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely resort, very close to the beach with
Lovely resort, very close to a wonderful beach of white sand. just a few meters into the water you will find many colorful fishes. Or go diving to see even more undersea wonders. The staff are more than helpful and the food at the restaurants is delicious.

A resort which was a real find
The staff at this resort cannot do enough to make your holiday a pleasure. As well as the pools, table-tennis, darts, pool, volley-ball tennis (plus the many opportunities for sun bathing), have a look at the excursions especially the lucky dolphin cruise. The reef snorkelling is an experience which will last in our memories for a life time, my wife is not a confident swimmer but the guide was helpful and reassured her so she saw an octopus, shark and turtles. Finally we would recommend going all-inclusive (we found it very hard to spend) and also going in August when it is very quiet and the staff cannot do enough.

Expensive for what it is
Over princed for everything particularly for drinks - 55 USD for a standard bottle of wine once the service charges and tax is added on. Jacuzzi villa pretty and comfortable, though power sockets worked on and off. The staff try hard to be pleasant and helpful and they seemed to work excessive hours. Any activities are reliant on others signing up or they are canceled very much last minute. Main problem was the island is a long way from male and we were not told just how long it would take with the infrequent domestic flights. Upon arrival in male to arriving at the resort took 6 1/2 hours, leaving then took 8 hours! Also, beware of the bikes for hire- they are not serviced, the pedal fell off mine whilst using it!

Excellent resort surrounded by Sea
Its really paradise. My family enjoyed their nice hospitality. Never seen such a friendly and educated staff. Safe and spectacular place. Jacuzzi Villa was great. We had a unique experience at Canareef resort. Must visit place.

Wonderful Journey
It was my first time and long time dream to come to Maldives, even for such a short stay. I never expected the good weather, but it was very nice for 3 days out of 4.

The hotel was beatiful and rooms were amazing. However I often had to battle with lazy staff in order for them to help me with simple things or ask 3 times for the same simple thing which is very frustrating for example to chase up a bottle of water whilst on vacation. The staff in the restaurant were great and it's a shame the rest of the resort let's down the hotel.

Scrivo questa recensione per smentire i commenti negativi precedenti, cercando di essere il piu obiettiva possibile. Sono stata al Canareef dall’1/01 all’ 8/01 col mio compagno, per me era la terza volta alle Maldive (ero già stata ad Alimathà in un villaggio Bravo Club). La struttura è molto grande, dotata di 4 ristoranti e due bar. L’isola è stretta ma lunga, ci si muove in bicicletta oppure con il “baggy” (un pulmino elettrico che ti porta ovunque a qualsiasi ora e ti viene a prendere ovunque ti trovi). In fondo all’isola la spiaggia è bellissima e anche come punto mare ne vale la pena, i colori sono tipici delle Maldive anche se purtroppo a livello di fondale non è cosi ricco di fauna. Il lato “sunset” dell’isola (cioè dove tramonta il sole) è tutto sabbioso, mentre il lato opposto chiamato “sunrise” (dove il sole sorge) è impraticabile in quanto fatto solo di scogli e sassi. Il cibo è vario ed è ottimo, con diverse proposte di carne e pesce ma anche vegetariane. Il personale sempre gentile e super disponibile, per intenderci una sera a cena era finito il gelato e uno dei cuochi me l’ha fatto portare direttamente dalla cucina. I bungalow sono spaziosi, l’unica cosa che cambierei sono i materassi, noi li abbiamo trovati molto duri, e il condizionatore che non sempre funzionava bene. L’esperienza nel complesso è stata molto positiva, ci siamo rilassati e abbiamo fatto anche delle escursioni di snorkeling, siamo stati molto bene, ci hanno trattato sempre con i guanti.

Fantastisk personal: Hassan i baren , Asrr golfbilsförare, Haizemath i repan som hjälpte mig med att hämta ner stora jobbfiler till min laptop, Yaniz vår uppmärksamme servitör. Vår superstädare X. Villan ren men lite sliten. Bra varierad mat. Delfinutflykten toppen. Lugnt och skönt. Stranden helt för sig själv merparten av tiden. Havsbotten full med sjögräs på de flesta ställena. Ta med gummiskor för bad. Kanonbadet finns dock på sydspetsen vid Beach Bar. Fria transporter överallt. Inga strandförsäljare är toppen. Höga priser. All Inkl kostar 125 dollar per person och dygn. Dyr och låååång transfer från Male som inte nämns tydligt. Rekommenderas ändå trots det! Vi väljer ställe närmre Male nästa gång pga för lång transfer: Vänta på plan i Male 3h. Flyga litet plan 1,25h. Speedbåt 0,5h. Rätt trötta vid ankomst. Supersnabb incheck och all service trevlig och snabb annars.

Resort pessimo, sembra di stare ovunque tranne che alle maldive. Sporco. Mare? Non c’è mare. È solo una grossa palude dal cattivo odore e sporca. In camera (dopo aver cambiato 3 camere diverse per formiche camminanti sul letto e sotto le coperte) pulizia zero. Dopo aver spruzzato un po di spray antiformiche la camera è stata invasa da oktre 300/400 formiche. Un vero disastro. Personale che chiama in camera 10/15 volte al giorno anche in orari non consoni (8 del martino e 15 del pomeriggio). Che delusione

Great place in Paradise
All was great, from the beginning to the end! Lovely and helpful staff , great food, beautiful, very clean bungalows just in the front of the amazing beaches. The island is perfect size, you can walk, ride a bicycle , or just call the buggy-car! Also you can visit by walk, a lovely small local village with very friendly people. Highly recommend!

Endroit sympa, paisible, calme, agréable. Peu de Français, langue que l'anglais. Personnel de chambre très bien villa avec jacuzzi très spacieuse et agréable, cependant manque séparation à l'extérieur entre chaque villa. Accès à la plage direct très bien, mais l'eau pas agréable beaucoup d'algues. Il faut aller à l'extrémité de l'ile pour avoir une belle plage avec l'eau transparente, c'est dommage. Nourriture pas assez variée, tout est à base de curie, pas de poisson frais, beaucoup de nourriture panée. Très peu de fruit et la glace très peu de choix, vanille, chocolat ou fraise. Il est conseillé de prendre un forfait inclusive car en pension complète, on vous fait payer la boisson à table y compris l'eau...Ce qui est dommage, très peu d'excursion proposée, aucune visite possible. La seule fois où nous avons voulu partir en bateau pour voir les dauphins, on nous a annulé la sortie car nous étions que 3 personnes...et nous avons pas été prévenu! Aucune animation, et les bars ferment à 23h... En ce qui concerne la boutique, très chère et peu d'article. Il est conseillé de prendre vos souvenirs au retour à l'aéroport. Encore une chose très importante, le voyage ne prend pas en charge le transfert de l'aéroport de Doha à l'aéroport de Gan Island y compris le bateau...Cela n'est pas précisé dans le forfait voyage. Nous en avons eu pour 800 dollar en plus de notre voyage...nous sommes à 480 kms de Doha à Canareef Resort. Du coup trajet beaucoup trop long. Notre retour à duré 43h

Non sembra neanche di essere alla Maldive. Il Resort è situato su un'isola l0nga (circa 4km e stretta circa 100 m.) da un lato l'atollo, mare torbido quasi impraticabile, spiaggia costituita da pietre sabbia residui di coralli ed alghe. Un lavoro continuo per rendere accogliente ciò che la natura ha destinato ad altro. Dall'altro lato dell'isola la barriera corallina verso l'oceano, e le bandiere rosse che segnalavano la impraticabilità. Ci si può consolare con le piscine, due funzionanti, una chiusa o l'idromassaggio che nella nostra situazione era previsto. Certo andare in piscina o idromassaggio alle Maldive è assurdo. Per intanto il viaggio da Male a Canareef si mangia sostanzialmente un giorno tra aereo, motoscafo oltre ai costi (380 dollari a persona) Il Ristorante era da un lato dell'isola per cui era necessario prendere il pulmino eletrico per colazione, pranzo e cena. Fortunatamente ero già stato alle Maldive in un'altro resort (Halaveli) deve il mare e le cose erano un'altra cosa. Certo chi viene alla maldive per la prima volta al Canareef corre il rischio di non tornarci più

Perfecto para desconectar
El hotel es perfecto para desconectar, si es verdad que si lo que buscas es tipo resort de caribe con mucha animacion no lo vas a encontrar. Tiene animacion por la noche (diferentes actividades). El personal del hotel es de lo mejor, muchos de ellos son simpatiquisimos y solo hay que hablar 5 minutos para ganar la confianza suficiente. Merece la pena recorrer la isla en bici y ver los distintos lugares que ofrece. El final de la isla es espectacular para hacer snorkel. Centro propio de buceo con precios de Maldivas (60 $ aprox por inmersión + equipo) pero merece la pena ver mantas raya de 3m de ancho...INCREIBLE. La comida buena y merece la pena coger el todo incluido porqué son caras las bebidas, aunque no entra todo. La habitacion la hacen 2 veces al dia. Lo unico malo es que para llegar desde Male hay q coger un vuelo local de 1 hora y media y después una lancha rápida de 25 minutos....pero llegas al PARAISO a descansar. Nosotros fuimos en julio (epoca de lluvias) y hubo tormenta tropical 1 dia y medio...el resto...un sol de justicia. En general muy buen hotel y la villa con jacuzzi preciosa, con ducha exterior. Hay insectos xq preservan la naturaleza de la isla y hay muchisima vegetacion pero nada exagerado, te dejan un spray si lo pides y resuelto.

Lugnt och fridfull ö.
Lungt och fridfullt,stor ö . Skönt att det fanns cyklar så man kunde ta sig till alla ställen . Det fanns bara en sak som var tråkigt och det var att det inte var något bra snorklingsparadis ställe.Däremot såg vi många sköldpaddor i vattnet runt omkring. Personalen var jätte trevlig och det var många som höll området i fint skick.Hotellets rum / stugor var precis lagom i storlek, duch o toalett ute men det var bara ett plus , trevligt o kändes bra. Synd att man inte kunde bada på en sida av ön . Kan rekommendera hummer middagen på stranden vid solnedgången . 4 rätters helt kanon ! Inga mygg när vi var där.

Vi var på øen i 10 dage, hvilket var perfekt. Et rigtigt fint resort til prisen! Villaerne er lækre og mangler ikke noget, maden er god, men ingen gastronomisk oplevelse. Man forbinder Maldiverne med paradis og hvide sandstrande. Desværre er der sten og søgræs på hele kysten, hvilket ødelægger oplevelsen. Fin service!

Der Himmel auf Erden
Wir waren als Freundinnen im Erholungsurlaub und das Hotel bot uns alles was wir uns nur hätten erträumen können. Man hat ein eigenes Haeuschen mit Privatstrand (IMMER- egal welche Kategorie gebucht wird). Die Haeuschen sind liebevoll eingerichtet, es gibt TV (braucht kein Mensch aber ist da), Wasserkocher, Foehn u alles was benötigt wird. Vom Bett aus schaut man durch die Komplette Glasfront (Tueren zur Terasse) direkt aufs Meer. Es ist traumhaft. Das Hotel wird viel von Asiaten besucht, welches sich im Buffet wiederspiegelt, jedoch den Vorteil hat, dass man am Strand komplett allein ist. In 2 Wochen Urlaub war ich Tgl komplett allein im Meer, keine Menschenseele weit und breit (Asiaten schaetzen es blass zu sein und gehen nicht in die Sonne). Ich war auch im Atoll tauchen, die Unterwasserwelt ist einmalig. Es gibt ein Wrack (British Loyality) und viele Mantas, Haie und Schildkroeten, neben den vielen bunten Fischen. Der Delfin Cruise lohnt sich auch absolut! Haben hunderte Delfine aus nächster Naehe sehen können. Wer nicht all inclusive Bucht sollte vll kleine Snacks dabei haben. Eine weitere Mahlzeit kostet 50€ pro Tag pro Person, es gibt keine Ausweichmoeglichkeiten (ist aber üblich auf solchen Inseln, in Fiji, Thailand etc. nicht anders) Das Personal ist ueberaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Niemand ist aufdringlich, aber sollte man fragen oder spezielle Anliegen haben wird alles in Windeseile erledigt! Der Strand ist sehr hell, fast weiß und puderig
