Great location - on the main road between Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead. Close to the Grand Canal and right across the road from an exceptional pub / restaurant - the White Horse. Pleasant and helpful staff and a great deck overlooking the river.

Great find, very nice rooms with everything you need. bed was comfy. Parking lots of and the place reminded me of a holiday chalet place. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bonus was the pub over the road "The Anchor" very very nice would go again and please try it if you stay, food was perfect and again the staff were great. Please if your in the area stay here and have a few pints over the road in both pubs.

Lovely hotel in a lovely setting. Staff were polite and breakfast was ok. Only small downside was no restaurant for a evening meal, but the White Horse pub across the road serves lovely food and you get a 10% discount when you show your room key.

Easy parking, large airy room. Bonus was having a bath too, although there were large hairs stuck on the bathroom tiles which was a bit off putting. Easy check out Although parts were a bit dated it was overall very pleasant, I would stay again

We only stayed one night and suited us fine. Staff were helpful and friendly and our room was a good size and clean. A little dated but it wouldn’t stop us staying there again. Breakfast was good with a varied choice. There was no lift but staff carried our luggage to our room which was a nice touch. Sizeable carpark and a good location.

Plenty of parking. Decor and fittings in need of update. Good value for money, but wouldn't pay more considering the state of decor and fittings. Reception staff helpful. Would stay there again.

Parking was easy. The reception area of the hotel felt fresh and looked nice. I liked the watermill! The room itself was fine but nothing special. My husband liked the bath - a nice surprise for a hotel room. We visited when it was very hot and we were grateful for the fan provided.
