Very good location of hotel, next to a lake and also to all means of transportation; friendly staff; very good breakfast; spacious rooms with all amenities. Really enjoyed the floor heating in bathroom and toilet!

This is easily one of the best hotels I have ever been to! The funky decor of the room was unique and the room was huge with a bar area, dining table and chairs, a loveseat, a sofa bed, 2 other armchairs, and a king-size bed. Breakfast was also above average and included pancakes with whipped cream and bacon. The hotel was feet away from the metro, trams, and buses, as well as grocery stores and restaurants. I highly recommend the Scandic Paasi!

Really comfy beds and great showers. Conveniently located close to parkrun. Would have liked hot drink making facilities in rooms - hot drinks in reception weren’t cheap and the hot chocolate wasn’t the best. Overall, would recommend.

I traveled with my daughter and the room was very comfortable. The beds were very nice and so was the bathroom. Breakfast was fantastic. Lots of options for my celiac daughter. Metro, tram and bus stops were just a five minute walk away and there is a 24 hour supermarket also about 5 minutes away with a great salad bar and fresh fruits and delicious baked goods. It is not in the city center but the train and tram get you there in about 10 minutes.

Scandic Paasi exceeded my expectations at every level. From the wonderful reception from Janni at check in to the well-appointed room and fabulous breakfast, this was a first rate stay from beginning to end. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was always varied and plentiful, and enhanced even further by the wonderfully friendly staff. Annika even visited each table every morning with freshly baked cinnamon rolls and a cheerful greeting, which was just lovely and that something extra that will linger happily in your memory. The hotel is also perfectly placed with easy access to transit, but is also very walkable to the city centre and its many attractions. I can highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to return. Thank you for a wonderful stay Scandic Paasi, you were superb.

Great hotel, funky decor with spacious rooms

We travelled as family and couldn’t fault the hotel. Rooms are spacious, clean and have all amenities. The staff are super friendly and went out of their way to help. The breakfast selection was huge, great coffee and lots of fresh local food which was lovely. The hotel is cool, with lots of funky features. Our room had a balcony which was great, especially in a city centre hotel in a prime location. There is a play room for kids which was a nice touch Great access to all public transport and about a 15min walk into the centre itself

The breakfast was nice and much appreciated by all. Staff were generally kind and helpful. Location is very convenient and walkable. However, the cleaning was subpar. We travelled as a family and I have to say our room was barely ever cleaned our entire stay. Granted, as a family we make much more of a mess than a regular couple, but simple things like coffee and teas were never replenished, the glasses never changed, the sheets changed maybe once for a long stay. The room was small/cramped, a bit outdated and I feel a bit worn out.

Time to renovate

The hotel is run down and needs some tlc. Itook good at entrance but rooms are dark and needs to be renovated. Had to change room, as the first room was just too old and smelly. On the upside the staff is really friendly, and the hotel has a focus ln the environment.

The Scandic Paasi is a great little hotel. The location in Hakaniemi is excellent, just across the bridge from the centre of the city and an easy 20 minute walk from the central station. The hotel is tucked away on a square behind the main street, and it was extremely quiet during my stay. As other guests have stated, the breakfast selection is huge considering the price band of the hotel with a wide selection of hot and cold options. The only downside for me is the in room ventilation which, in common with many hotels in Finland in my experience, doesn't actually give you full control of the temperature, despite looking like a proper air conditioning control unit. This meant the room was a bit warm for my taste, but it wasn't a major issue.
