Omena Hotel for 1 night stay

A bit of a walk from the main train station so we took a uber to/fro. Check-in was super easy and we liked that we did not have to worry about losing the room's card key :)

This is a good hotel to stay the rooms are big. They don’t have staff onsite it’s all automatically done. I have no issues but I saw other people having issues. It is located about 10 minutes walking from the senate square/old town. There are lots of restaurants convenient stores, mall, and even a super expensive stripe club. The down side they don’t offer storage for your bags and the checking is at 4 pm. I will stay here again

Booked for one night to see how the property was, ended up booking for another six nights. Close to the heart and soul of Helsinki. Felt safe inside, you have to use numeric key codes to enter everywhere, which is comforting. Five minute walk to the Ritzy shopping stores.

Great location and room

Customer service was great in ironing out a checkin problem. Room was spacious for Europe. Awesome to have the fudge, microwave and hot water pot. Close to train station and downtown stuff

Omena offers excellent value for your money. While the toilet might be on the smaller side, the room was clean, and I had a comfortable night's sleep. Despite the absence of staff, it didn't affect my experience negatively. Overall, if you're looking for a budget-friendly option without sacrificing cleanliness and comfort, Omena is a solid choice.

My room was very clean, bright and suprisingly spacious, especially the bathroom. The 4pm check in was a bit late for me though. Also I think there should be something to help push the water towards the drain after a shower.

Nice hotel with poor check in

Central hotel easy to walk to the centre. Check in process is awful as you have to go ok online and do it before in order to receive a pin number which you use for your entire stay to get into the hotel and room. No reception so no help if you need it. The room is adequate, had a microwave and fridge which was great. Shower water was lukewarm. Bed comfortable and TV great. Lots of space.

Basic, but clean and cozy

I had a wonderful stay at this basic hotel. The location is fabulous, only 15 minutes away by foot from the railway station, but in a nice, lively, but peaceful neighbourhood that felt safe and clean and had plenty of bars and restaurants. A grocery story is right across the street. The room was very clean and well-appointed (mini-fridge, water cooker, tea and coffee, nice place to sit and work with a laptop, nice bed and tv). It was also super quiet and I slept very well. The only minor inconvenience was that there was no handheld shower, only a shower head from the top of the ceiling and that the water tends to end up all over the floor. But they also have a floor towel and a wonderful electrical towel drying rack. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised and I think that this is absolutely fantastic value for money. I had a great and cozy stay and would most definitely stay here again.

Very good room with some concern

The Omena Hotel Lonnrontinkatu is conveniently located in Helsinki city center, just a 10-minute walk from the main train station. Our room was clean and comfortable, featuring a sofa and dining table. Although the room was a bit small, it was perfectly fine for two people. One thing to note is that this hotel has no reception, so check-in and check-out are done independently. However, this system has a major flaw. We were supposed to receive a registration link and code for check-in, but we never got it. Unfortunately, the customer service number was completely unresponsive, and the phone in the lobby was equally useless. We ended up having to contact our travel agency, who thankfully managed to get us the code within 15 minutes. However, this whole ordeal cost us two hours of our precious vacation time. And we weren't alone! During our 3-night stay, we witnessed at least 6-7 other groups experiencing the exact same problem. This is a serious issue that the hotel needs to address immediately. Guests should confirm their registration and code well in advance of their arrival date to avoid this frustrating situation.
