We had to check out of our campground and stayed one night here. Scott was helpful assisting my boyfriend in parking the truck and trailer. Room was cute and comfy. Wish I had the money to buy the place!
The room we stayed in was exceptionally clean. Internet is spotty (mountains). This property is in hilly terrain. A lot of people may complain about the drive but when you are trying to be near a mountain lake, you have to through mountains to get there. Do not complain if you did not do your research.
Loved the location. Convenient to everything. The property was nice with rocking chairs and decks.
I don’t know that the owner was there, but we only had 1 1/2 rolls of toilet paper and 2 towels for a week. Bought our own toilet paper and just made do with the towels. It would have been nice to have someone see if we needed anything.
Wished the restaurant had been opened on Sunday morning. Although we did find a great bakery and restaurant in Helen fo a late brunch. Did enjoy the solitude.
We stayed in Room #2, AKA Snorts Shanty. The room was clean and quiet. We felt safe with our two young children. The room was quaint and rustic. The owner was very polite and a great host. It is very rural , but it was a great location for what we wanted to do .
Cabin was a little closer to the road and other buildings then we expected and we did not have cell service. Overal. Is was a pleasantly quiet weekend.
Beautiful location, very tasteful decorated room, comfortable beds! The restaurant is still not open, but there is a good one (Blue Canoe) nearby. Nice stuff, zero fuss, would love to go back!
We had a great time. The lodge is very charming and Bobby the owner is extremely hospitable. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed so we ate at the Bleu Canoe down the road, which was outstanding!!
This place is a dump, we walked in..Sat down..Looked around and left. We went to a Holiday Inn and stayed. The owner refused a refund of an sort but it looks like he may need that money more than I do to fix the place up!!
This was a great location for lots of hiking! We were there around the holidays, so several local restaurants were closed. It’s close to Helen, so we made the drive a few times. The room was clean. Internet was slow. Parking is limited. It’s a nice place, but not a lot of frills.
I don’t think I can properly convey how great the stay here was. The staff made us feel like members of the family, and everyone could not have been any nicer.
Bobby was, to be blunt, the best host I have ever interacted with. He was incredibly attentive to his guests needs, but never intrusive. Our experience was comparable to staying with a close friend.
DON"T STAY HERE! Made arrangements for manager to leave our door unlocked, and when we arrived the whole property was locked up- office closed, no lights on, and no one answers the phone. For sale sign in front. Waited at property and called for 4 hours trying to get ahold of someone and finally left and had to find another hotel. Very poor management. After all that the manager refused to refund me.
Very quiet with down home atmosphere. Beautiful room

Awesome getaway
This place was a wonderful little quaint lodge. The room was decorated nicely and the king size bed was super comfortable. Very quiet and secluded. The attached restaurant was also very charming and cozy. Good food and pleasant atmosphere. We will definitely be back.
