Beautiful resort like hotel with great staff and service. It wasn't very busy during our stay, which made it seemed a bit weird but at the same time we appreciated the sereneness and peacefulness of the place. Welcome fruits and housekeeping was top notch.

Second visit in a month. Booked 3 rooms both times. The Gulangyu view rooms are spacious and have good view of the island. Location is convenient. The experience of our last visit was better than this one. Check-in staff was less friendly and lack of pleasantness during the whole process. Breakfast was crowded with long wait to enter as the hotel was quite full during the Christmas holidays.

Everything was fine except for the breakfast. Now the hotel is using artificial factory made bacon. Who knows what the meat was from? Was really disappointed. That's the only reason I pay the extra money to stay at the Swiss Grand. Moreover, the capacinno coffee was very watery. Will not be staying ...
