"Great breakfast, room was good, but found some dirty pillows. Rooms are not soundproof so you will hear everything from next rooms or from upstairs. You're not allowed to buy food from outside and dinners but expensive."

"Rooms could do with updating.Could have done without a car alarm going of several times early in the morning (I know this was not the hotels fault).Breakfast was OK nothing special if you like a buffet breakfast. We had a iron but no ironing board had to borrow from our daughters room next door she had a ironing board but no iron (Yes I've not made that up)"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our recent two night stay at the Lindeth Howe Hotel. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff are so welcoming and professional. Breakfast was delicious, such a good spread and the staff overseeing breakfast make sure everyone is well looked after. I can't recommend Lindeth Howe enough."

"We were really looking forward to staying at the iconic Midland Hotel in Morecambe. It was easy to find with plenty of free parking. It looked wonderful in a beautiful situation right by the sea. Our check in experience wasn't great - the girl who did it was aloof, officious and unfriendly; she didn't smile once. However, this was the only downside to our stay. The interior of the hotel is beautiful. Our room was amazing, large and bright - it had 3 windows, all with great views. The big bed was very comfortable. We liked the shower room with its fluffy white towels. We dined at the hotel. Our waiter was lovely, very friendly, helpful and polite. We both enjoyed our meals. However, during the heatwave, it was too hot to sit in the usual dining area in the sun room overlooking the sea, so most people were in the small dining area inside. We thought some fans would have been a good idea to cool it down. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice for the continental breakfast and also for the English breakfast, very well cooked and presented. Also, the dining room had cooled down by morning, so we enjoyed overlooking the sea whilst eating. The head waiter was excellent, very welcoming and informative. All the waiters were great too. If not for the off-putting poor reception, we would probably have given 5 stars all round."

"The location is the big selling point; views over the lake are exceptional. The menu has a good choice, but doesn't vary from day-to-day. That could become an issue for a longer stay, but if it looks good on the menu, it will be good when it's served. The location sold it, but the staff made the trip exceptional. They really made us feel like ensuring we enjoyed our stay was their personal mission. There is a fitness note; I'm admittedly out of shape, and retirement age, but I found the stairs to be almost too much at times. The climb from our suite to the bar/restaurant left me out of breath for a couple of minutes."

The Belsfield Hotel

"Beyond disappointed. My original room was very dirty and the walls were all scuffed up. I complained and a nice gentlemen gave me 10% for one night and moved me to a “renovated” room. The hotel needs a ton of upgrades and cleaning. It is very dated and also under renovation. They are also severely understaffed and while the staff were all nice, their stress could be felt from not having enough help. They also do not even provide daily housekeeping unless you ask. Not to mention they only provide waters if asked. Be sure to bring conditioner because they dont provide that either. Definitely not a 4 star hotel!"
