We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Footprints Resort. It was a completely rainy weekend starting on Saturday to Monday. We made full use of the lodge to cook our food and to hang out. We had a small cabin which was fine. I loved the TV area in the lodge and games available. I think if you are from the city and looking for a getaway to cottage country this would be perfect. We were in the area to look at cottages with our realtor and come from cottage country so perhaps wouldn't return. However, if you are looking to have a unique destination wedding this would be the place to have it! I loved the special touches around the resort. It is clearly a labor of love. The lake was weedy and as I grew up on a weedy lake I wouldn't get in it. I enjoyed the cold pool. I would like another cold pool as it got quite busy and had some of the workers enjoying the same area so would be nice to have an additional area. Overall, lovely place and completely recommended!

Beautiful and relaxing

This place is AMAZING! It's a beautiful place and the owners were very welcoming. The host, Jen was the nicest person and was very helpful. They made guest feel at home and the atmosphere was relaxing. I highly recommend this place to stay at whether in a room, cabin or camping trip. They have a lounge , private beach , hot tub and bbqs and fire pits. This is a 100 percent a perfect adult get away.

The service at this resort was outstanding. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and to make you feel at home. Will definitely return. The shared dining facilities make for a great way to meet new people.

We stayed two nights. The washrooms and showers were very clean and well kept. There were plenty of bbq's for even the busiest of times. Aside from bringing your own food they have everything you could possibly need. Very friendly and welcoming environment. Would definitely consider staying again.

Stayed in May. Dated motel room, but clean. Basic toiletries included, bathroom small, but sufficient. Bigger fridge to put in basic groceries. Shared kitchen in lounge was nice, lots of items included to cook meals if you want. There are also lots of tables and seating areas to eat at. There are also cabins on the other side of the motel rooms, but they don't have showers, only 2 piece bathroom I believe. Shared shower facilities are just across the cabins. Watercraft activities like paddleboat, canoes, kayak, and life jackets offered for free. Its a very small lake so not hard to paddle around it. Hot tub is a plus, fits up to 6 people at a time. We didn’t use conversation pool beside it as it was too cold to use, maybe consider heating it for spring and fall seasons. Location was good, about 20 minutes to town of Bancroft and other sightseeing spots around the area. One thing is the resort should put a sign to indicate the place as well as lights because the entrance is hidden and can be hard to spot at night. They have fire at night at 2 fire pits. The resort enforces no loud noise after 11 pm, which was nice if youre looking for a quiet and peaceful spot. Not sure how rowdy it would get during the busier summer months, as the couples that were on the resort during the weekend we stayed at were pretty chill.

We stayed for 3 nights through the week, so not on the weekend. Property was very quiet and nice and relaxing. The Villas are nice and the bed super comfortable housekeeping didnot visit at all. Cooking in the shared kitchen is easy and well stocked. WiFi doesn't work. Nice Property but not a return visit for us.
