One could tell that in its heyday, this was a very busy place. But still holding on and very nice. Nothing fancy, but everything was clean and well maintained. The food was fantastic-one of the best meals I've ever had.

Die Unterkunft ist sauber, eine hervorragende Poolanlage mit Sauna, guter Service und nettes Personal. Gut auch der gleich gegenüberliegend Bahnhof der Selketalbahn. Wirklich noch grüner Wald in der Umgebung. Viele gut erreichbare interessante Ziele in allen Bereichen, wie die vielen Bereiche der Teufelsmauer, die Burg Falkenstein, der Hexentanzplatz, die Rosstrappe, das Bodetal und vieles mehr. Es lohnt sich den Harz in diesem Beteich zu erkunden.

Wir waren für 3 Nächte im Hotel. Die Zimmer sind groß, sauber und ansprechend möbliert. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Umgebung ist ausgestattet mit vielen, gut ausgeschilderten Wanderwegen. Der Ort selbst ist eher verlassen und daher sehr gut geeignet für Ruhesuchende. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist in der Auswahl umfangreich und abwechselnd. Zum Abend kann man leckere Käse- oder Wurstplatten bestellen. Highlight ist das wunderschöne Schwimmbad mit Sauna. Alles sehr sauber und kostenlos für Hotelgäste. WLAN ist verfügbar, holpert aber manchmal. Der Bahnhof ist direkt gegenüber. Da die kleine Bahn nur alle paar Stunden fährt, merkt man diesen aber kaum. Busse fahren vom Bahnhof regelmäßig in die umliegenden kleinen Städte. Rundum ein Wohlfühlort für Ruhesuchende mit Wanderlust.

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel und kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Das Frühstück war wirklich sehr gut und vielseitig, sodass für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei war. Der Spa-Bereich ist wunderschön gestaltet und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Auf Anfrage wird die Sauna eingeschaltet, was den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer macht. Die Lage ist ebenfalls perfekt – in der Nähe vom Bahnhof und der Bushaltestelle. Außerdem konnten wir die Tickets für die Harz-Schmalspurbahn kostenlos !! direkt im Hotel erhalten, was den Aufenthalt noch komfortabler gemacht hat.

Das Hotel wirbt mit Spa, Schwimmbad und drei Saunen – in Wahrheit war nur eine Sauna nutzbar. Die anderen waren außer Betrieb, ohne jeglichen Hinweis vorab. Für ein Hotel dieser Preisklasse eine Frechheit. Die Nutzung von Saunatüchern kostet 5 € extra – in einem Spa-Hotel völlig unverständlich und kleinlich. Das Personal war durchgehend unfreundlich und offensichtlich genervt von jeder Frage. Antworten lauteten regelmäßig: „Keine Ahnung“ oder „Google es“. „Wie kommen wir nach Thale?“ – „Keine Ahnung.“ „Haben Sie eine Taxi-Nummer?“ – „Nein, googeln Sie.“ „Können wir unser Gepäck nach dem Checkout kurz hier lassen?“ – „Wir haben keinen Platz. Stell die Sachen einfach neben die Eingangstür.“ – Drin, aber ungesichert und für jeden zugänglich da Personal nicht immer am Tresen sitzt. Unglaublich! Der einzige Lichtblick war das Frühstück – das war gut. Aber selbst das kann diesen Aufenthalt nicht retten. Fazit: Nie wieder. Finger weg. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen

Hotel mit Potential

Wir kamen nach 17.00 Uhr an, hatten keine Halbpension gebucht. Das Restaurant, das zur Zeit in der 1. Etage im Bereich der früheren Wellnessabteilung untergebracht ist, bietet "A la card" bis 17.00 Uhr oder ab 19.30 Uhr Personal bedingt an. Ich glaube aber eher, es liegt an den Platzverhältnissen. Ein Blick in die Karte ergab eine minimalistische Auswahl. Wir entschlossen uns, einmal weil wir nicht so spät essen, auf Restaurants in der Umgebung auszuweichen was aber auch nicht ganz einfach ist, wir waren in Gernrode und Harzgerode. Das Frühstück war ok, einzig das man für einen Capuccino oder Latte Macchiato beim Frühstück extra bezahlen sollte, störte uns. Da wir ein zusätzliches Kissen benötigten, gingen wir zur Rezeption. Diese wird ab 17.00 Uhr von den Mitarbeitern des Restaurants mit betrieben. Man war nicht in der Lage 2 zusätzliche Kissen zu geben oder zu bringen da um diese Zeit kein Housekeeping mehr da sei und erst am nächsten Morgen könnten wir ab 8.00 Uhr noch einmal nachfragen. Dies wurde am nächsten Tag auch erledigt. Die Zimmer waren sauber, gut eingerichtet, neu renoviert. Der Pool war in Ordnung, es gibt aber keine Handtücher, Bademantel und Saunatuch konnten gegen Gebühr ausgeliehen werden, man konnte diese aber n i c h t, wenn diese nass waren, tauschen! Zimmerservice light, Handtücher und Papierkorb wurden geleert, Service war auf Nachfrage möglich. Wenn das Nachbargebäude renoviert ist und das Restaurant dort unter gebracht ist, sollte es besser sein.

Hotellet er fint, ikke noget prangende og lidt gammelt men rent. Personalet talte ikke engelsk, men søde. Hovedbygningen var under renovation, og det vidste vi ikke på forhånd, det var lidt skyggende. Overraskende lækker aftensmad.

Ruhiges Hotel in waldnaher Lage. Schöner Poolbereich, sauberes und modernes Zimmer, nettes und hilfsbereites Personal an der Rezeption. Nur kleine Speisenauswahl am Abend und leider wenig für Vegetarier, aber trotzdem lecker.

Personal sehr Freundlich und zuvorkommend. Zimmer sauber und ordentlich Wellnessbereich gut,Wasser in Schwimpool sehr kalt... Durch die Baustelle Anmeldung ( bisschen verwierend,statt Haupteingang bisschen in Hintertür...)und Parken sehr schwierig.
