This guesthouse is extremely comfortable, quiet and in a great location near the sea front. The staff are extremely helpful nd the breakfast options are second to none, awesome stay. I will be staying here again.

Comfortable, friendly, clean, and great breakfast.

I stayed for three nights, visiting family. The guest house is exceptional - very clean, well-appointed, excellent breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. Now I have tried Altonlea, I will always book it when I visit Hartlepool.

Great stay

My first stay for a work trip and won’t be the last. Super friendly hosts that make you feel extremely welcome. Beautiful garden with seating for guests use. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Room was very comfortable. Secure parking was an added bonus, along with the great location

Booking was for my 86 year old mother visiting and I have to say her stay here was outstanding. The owners are lovely and bent over backwards for her, so friendly and warm. The B&B itself is lovely, very clean, beautifully kept gardens and the location was fabulous. My mum was able to go for a walk on the sea front every morning. She will stay here again.

The personal touch made all the difference

Very comfortable room and bed. You couldn’t ask more for the price that we paid. From carrying my luggage to making sure our every request was met Lee was the perfect host.

I was received with a warm welcome shown to my room which was a double ensuite, clean, warm and a very confirmable bed. TV maybe a little small for moden day stands but more than adequate. Wifi connect was super fast and strong,essential when travelling for work. This was something i found lacking in many hotels in the area. My stay was pleasant and hassle free.

Superb B&B, highly recommended

Super place to stay - right on rhe beach and near the pubs and restauarants. Secure parking round the back or parking on the green. The room was fabulous, splotlessly clean, tea and coffee, and bottled water . Breakfast was superb and the staff are lovely and friendly. I will definitely return !

Loved everything about our stay, delightful modern room with ensuite, use of guest kitchen / dining room, the property has a enviable location close to big green space at front and walk to beach, Lee cooks a tasty breakfast with a incredible choice of items for breakfast, my goodness coming from Australia we were so spoiled the welcome feeling was everything highly recommended best stay ever thank you Lee.
