"Overall, the hotel was fine for what we paid. It’s definitely dated and a little worn in places, but our room was clean, the sheets were clean, and the AC worked well. The staff was also very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We didn’t have any major issues. If you’re looking for something modern or upscale, this probably isn’t it, but if you just need an inexpensive, clean place to stay with friendly service, it does the job."

"We visited Michillinda Lodge in 1985 and loved it! While traveling up the west side of Michigan in September 2026 we decided to stay there again. It was another great experience. We loved the gorgeous setting, the grounds, shuffle board and the sunset views!! Also, a special thank you to Lea, she was kind, friendly and very accommodating! Thanks Michillinda Lodge! See you next year!"

"It seemed like an older property that the up keep is hard on. They are doing a great job on a difficult project. The staff was great, parking was very convenient. Price was pretty high for my perceived value. In Marriot's defense, most properties in the area were for this weekend."
