We had a beautifully clean and very spacious room in the hotel's annex which was very peaceful and quiet. The whole stay was a perfect way to enjoy christmas! Every single member of staff was happy & smiling, the food absolutely superb, plenty of drinks choices...WONDERFUL!

Very comfortable and spacious standard room. Did not have breakfast but used the Pub in evening which was ebullient and friendly atmosphere! Staff very friendly and approachable. Only issue an inconsiderate guest late at night got rowdy in room disturbance to many until staff had to quite them down. All good otherwise and will return

Great place to stay with excellent food in the fat badger pub and restaurant. We had the sandwich and chips option but will have to go back for the Sunday lunch - it looked great and was obviously popular with regulars. Great drink options including landlord, dark landlord, black sheep etc, and reasonable priced cocktails.

Excellent efficient check in, all staff very friendly and polite. However, our room was right above the Bar which was very noisy and music really loud till well after midnight, right on a main road which is busy throughout the night also and with no double glazing was extremely noisy. We stayed 2 nights and never had our room serviced. We return on Friday to shower and change for dinner and the room had not been cleaned, when we went to reception asking for tea supplies & mentioned this we were asked if we wanted to be added to the list to request it to be done? Sorry, I thought this was an automatic thing and not that we needed to be requested. if anyone is thinking of staying it is a lovely hotel and good location for access to everything but I would recommend requesting a room on the back and not above the bar!!

Decent enough room for price , good easy check in however 15 £ to park on the property is a bit steep. Could do with a bit of a touch up in various areas ( paint, carpet runners etc) Nice bathroom, and a nice restaurant and fat badger bar ( very popular)
