It's a small place and when you walk in you might think "Oh no!", because it doesn't seem that bright, but I stayed on a rainy winter evening, so that might have been a factor. But, when I got in the room it was lovely, modern decor, kettle and tea/coffee, great bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff who met me at the door with key and instructions.」

「One of my favourite places to stay! Beautiful countryside. Lovely comfortable, characterful rooms with horse racing theme! Friendly staff, and excellent freshly cooked breakfasts made with locally sourced ingredients. Plenty of parking. We stayed on a Tuesday when the main restaurant is closed, but enjoyed our evening meal at the White Goose Pizza Co. which is only minutes walk away.」
