I recently had the pleasure of staying one night at the Sir Alfred Munnings Hotel and was thoroughly impressed with the overall experience. From arrival to departure, the service was of a consistently high standard. The staff were notably friendly, courteous, and extremely helpful, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout my stay. The room itself was spacious, immaculately clean, and tastefully presented—offering a comfortable and relaxing environment. Furthermore, the food was of excellent quality, both in terms of taste and presentation, and clearly prepared with care and attention to detail. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend the Sir Alfred Munnings Hotel to both leisure and business travellers seeking quality accommodation, attentive service, and a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.

A brilliant 6 night stay at the Sir Alfred Munnings Hotel. Located in a peaceful village location, and nothing was too much trouble. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, would happily recommend, and I fully intend to stay again.

All the staff friendly and helpful. I liked the character beams and wall beams in the period property. Lovely huge comfy bed. My arthritic hands could barely turn the bathroom sink taps on and off as the taps were very stiff. I was cold in the night and early morning and wished there was a room heater I could control myself. The toilet flush took a long time to fill. But on the whole a pleasant stay, thank you very much.

Another review of this delight in Mendham, a very convenient and pleasant village pub well situated for anyone working in the east of Suffolk/ Norfolk. Great breakfast, great host, pleasant atmosphere, good evening meals. Very good value for money.

We were greeted warmly with clear information as to facilities and services available. Requests were dealt with positively immediately. There was a wide choice on menu, food was excellent and service good. Accommodation has a tired dated appearance but was comfortable and met our needs. Note had been taken that we had requested secure storage for our bikes and that was arranged.

A PEACEFUL HAVEN IN UNSPOILT COUNTRYSIDE

A good night's sleep is assured in a characterful room with beams. Ideal for a walking holiday, as there are miles of wonderful footpaths all around. Beautiful scenery near a river. There is really a "Far From The Madding Crowd" ambience in this unspoilt village.

Lovely quiet and pretty location. Superb staff provided a friendly welcoming service. Breakfasts very generous with lots of options. Good evening meal selection. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Would really recommend to others and would stay again ourselves.
