We always enjoy our stay at St James. It is perfectly locted to shops and the pools. The rooms are comfortable, and equipped with all the necessaries. Good service with friendly staff. We have stayed at many places in Hanmer Springs and this is by far our favorite. Highly recommend.

Second visit to St James and booked St James Suite. Great location and staff were very friendly and helpful. Several issues with room and very disappointing given extra charged for a ‘suite’. Had to call staff to fix TV which wasn’t working at all and while this was promptly fixed the position of sky box and TV meant you had to stand directly side on to TV to operate remote. There was no air con in bedroom so given its summer the bedroom temperature was unbearable and mattress very very hard so impossible to sleep. Would not recommend paying extra for a suite at all. Our previous stay was in a deluxe room which was far nicer. This room was tired and facilities old and not worth price. Very disappointing.

The host was genuinely hospitable and made us feel welcome plus provided great recommendations for dinner. Great value for money — would happily stay again!
