We rented a cabin. It was very comfortable and perfectly located: quiet, save and it had a fantastic view. Service was excellent. Moreover, the owner provided us with a rental car and also he organized 4 sightseeing tours for us.

Wow, this place was amazing. The individual cabins gave you a sense of privacy, they were well equipped, and had everything that you needed. The Lodge is really off the beating path, but it really gives you a sense of what the island is all about. The sunset from the porch of the cabins each night was unbelievable.I can’t remember the last time I slept with all the doors and windows wide open but I did on this trip. Jerome and Fidji set up everything for my tour of the island, and I cannot thank them enough for their hospitality. They made sure everything was set up and ready to go for my day of adventure. Thank you to Kona Koa Lodge for an unforgettable time!

The owners go out of their way to make you comfortable. They organized our 4 days of sightseeing with a guide. We also rented our car from them which makes it a great place to stay. Would highly recommend and hope to return to their beautiful oasis and Island.

It’s a beautiful and quiet spot. Host is accommodating and welcoming. Our bungalow was very clean and our bed is extremely comfortable. Beautiful ocean view and pretty landscape all around. We have a covered parking space. A kitchen is helpful to make it at home. All of which makes it a relaxing oasis. The reasons for the 4 star: The road to the lodge is a bit rough. Dirt road from the main road. So if you don’t rent a car, you cannot really get there without getting all muddy. There’s no fan in the room so it gets pretty hot until after ten or eleven before it can cool down. Our drain does not have a cover so you’re taking a shower with the open drain in the middle of the shower pan. These are some very minor issues, but make it slightly less than perfect. Overall, we had a very nice stay. Love the place.

Kona Koa lodge was perfect! The location is peaceful and quiet. There are multiple units on the property but positioned perfectly so you rarely see each other. The units are very clean and look newly built. The bed was very comfortable and unit was beautifully decorated. The family who owns the lodge is so welcoming and helpful even meeting us at the airport with flowers. They provided free transport to and from the airport. We were brought fresh pineapple juice and sat on the porch with the owner upon arrival to setup our car rental and tour guides. Our unit was cleaned everyday with fresh flowers provided on the porch afterwards. They provided recommendations on restaurants and were available via WhatsApp at all times. The owners made us feel like family. It was the right balance of remote and resort that fits Rapa Nui. Added bonus was free drinking water jugs in the room (thankfully not individual water bottles) and electricity from solar panels. We would definitely stay here again!!

Incredible Lodging on an Incredible Island

The Kona Koa Lodge is a perfect accommodation on Rapa Nui. The property is outside of the main town of Hanga Roa so it feels secluded and quiet. You will hear the chickens and the dogs at times during the night or early morning, but it's all part of the ambiance -- which includes wild horses roaming nearby, island breezes, colorful flowers and a sea view. Fiji is a great host. She picked us up at the airport, pointed out several places in town and gave us her WhatsApp number in case we had any questions or needed any reservations. It was only my wife and I in our bungalow but with an extra loft space and futon in the living room you could easily stay with a family of 4 or 5, or with 4 adult friends. The water pressure and temperature were unexpectedly amazing. Internet speed and stability were also surprisingly good; we were able to sustain several Facetime calls back to the US with no problems. The bed is extremely comfortable, the linens are nice, and they clean the room each day. If you're wondering where to get your guide and if you should rent a car, just save yourself the time and stress and do both through Kona Koa. The guide they booked for us, Tai, was fantastic and great to have conversations with. She also drove the car so my wife and I could marvel at the countryside on the way to the various sites. So if you're reading this reasearching lodging on Easter Island, stop and look no further -- Kona Koa is the place to stay!

Kona Koa Lodge was a fantastic choice for us. Fiji, the innkeeper, was lovely and attentive. Our bungalow was perfect for our needs. It is a bit outside of town, so a taxi ride is needed to and from the lodge to town, as the walk is a bit far for older folks. The countryside is beautiful, and Kona Koa Lodge takes full advantage of it.

Fiji is very nice. The views were awesome. You can borrow one of their cars. Beds and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with plates, utensils, pans.

The Easter Island is very special travel destination. To be honest, finding a good hotel on the island is not easy. I will say that we were very lucky with Kona Koa Lodge! This property is clean, safe and has fantastic Polynesian charm. The owners (Jerome and Fiji) went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. We did rent a car through them, and they also provided us with a guide who showed us all the historical sights of the island (she was great!) Overall, we had a great experience and highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Easter Island. Thank you so much!

Tres heureux de notre choix d'hôtel. L'hôtel proposait directement une voiture de location et la meilleure des guides, ce qui nous a grandement simplifié la vie. Je recommande vivement Fidji comme guide qui a tout particulierement su adapter son discours et son rythme aux enfants.

Ligger med flot udsigt som du også betaler for. Værelset er ikke noget særligt og aircondition havde været en fordel, meget fugtigt i rummet hvor der også var skimmel lugt flere steder. Natten lang er der larm fra huden der gør, og ikke nok med er der haner der galer fra kl. 3 om natten så ikke meget ro. Køkken er der men manglende redskaber. og i så ringe stand det bør skiftes. Lidt for dyrt i forholdt til hvad du får. Men personalet var i top 5 stjerner

This was an extraordinary property with beautiful views. The rooms were decorated with special pieces of French furniture and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We loved the entire bungalow and the lovely kitchenette. Our hostess Fiji was an extremely helpful and nice hostess! This is a beautiful ecolodge that is one of the most special places on the island. You feel like you are in a treehouse.
