Manuto is knowledgeable, fun, and a very good driver. I couldn't have asked for a better host and guide.
The free-range chickens were very entertaining.

Good view, lots of cockroaches, which is understandable as it's part of the place, the infrastructure of the place is very deteriorated.

The cabin was cozy and clean, but there is no AC which made for unbearable conditions between 9am and 9pm. No staff anywhere, no messages or calls answered at all. No way to get toilet paper, return keys, or get a ride to airport. It’s a bit far away from town.

Please read the reviews before booking
In short, the negative reviews of this place on here and search engines are 100% accurate. I made the mistake of not reading the reviews therefore have only myself to blame for booking this place.
This company should maintain a minimum standard of accommodation if it plans to retain a level of standard or risk losing customers.
The cabaña we had seemed new-ish. With a great equiped kitchen. The bathroom was a bit small, but it's not the place you spend much time any way.
It's about 10min walk to main street and just a few mins to a small grocery store.
We enjoyed our stay there.
The map showes the wrong place and there is no signs.
If you are coming from the road passing the hospital, take first left and then the first small road on your right. It's the 2 or 3 house on your left
The cabin was ok and had a fairly well-equipped kitchenette. It's about a 15 walk to the downtown area in a sort of isolated area, so I tried not walk home late (but taxis are easy). The owner was helpful but not friendly, if that makes sense. She picked me up from the airport and drove me through town, and even gave me a ride to the laundry to bring my clothes. But everytime I went to their (mostly locked) office she acted like I had just interrupted her family Christmas dinner. No heating/cooling and couldn't open windows because no screens and mosquitos would get in. Pleasant enough space, but I would stay closer into town (along the water) if possible in the future.

From the moment Manuto picked me up at the airport I got the sense that I was in good hands and would be well taken care of by my host during the week I'd be on Rapa Nui (Easter Island). Manuto is kind, courteous, and willing to do whatever is necessary to ensure a pleasurable stay for his guests. And my stay was certainly pleasurable.
The rooms are nice and clean, with enough space to feel like you can "live there" for an extended stay. Mine was a 7 night stay, so first thing I did was walk down toward town and buy some groceries and cooking supplies as the cabaña had a full kitchen. There were 3 little markets within less than a mile. So even without your own transportation, you can get the essentials with a little walk.
However, if you are in need a rental vehicle, Manuto also has a few vehicles for rent. I rented one for 3 days and it was nice to be able to explore the island on my own after a 2 day guided tour.
Cabañas Manuto checked all of the important boxes for me regarding extended stay accommodations, and Manuto and his staff are just the most gracious hosts. You really get a feel for the heart of the Rapa Nui people and culture, here. Will definitely stay with them again next time!

verdadero fraude! real scam!
Mal. No recomendable a nadie.
Very bad. Location offered is not real. It is not even close to the sea. They blame Hotels.com for the location they provided. Shower water never got warm. Very small bathroom. Dirty kitchen utensils. Not recommended to anyone.
I highly recommend this place in Hanga Roa. The owners are very warm people and will make your stay in Rapa Nui unforgettable. They pick you up at the airport and from then on, the will make sure you have a pleasant stay.
I had a great time at the Cabañas Manuto. The rooms are well appointed with everything you need for a nice relaxing stay. Set a little bit back from the main shopping area its is close enough to the restaurants, supermarkets and tour operators but still nice and peaceful.
The wifi could have been better but I think that is a problem on the whole island not just at Cabañas Manuto.
All in all I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and thought that Cabañas Manuto offered great value for money.

Room for improvement
There is definitely room for improvement at this facility. I'll start with the negatives, however we are not sure how the other cabanas at the property were like.
- The Wi-Fi reception is in general quite bad on the island, a few restaurants and the city square have decent speed and quality, however at the cabanas it was pretty much non-existent. It worked for one day, was really slow and then didn't work for the remaining 5 days even though they topped up the account.
- It felt a bit dirty on the floors, but since it's quite rural it's a lot of red sand surrounding the area, and with the wind it might get easily dragged in. The small fridge was unfortunately bug infested with small flies and the problem didn't go away even though the staff and ourselves tried cleaning it. I hope you don't mind small lizards, since there were loads of them every day and night climbing on the walls by the roof. They also make this ticking noise quite frequently which can be a bit annoying to those who notices it. The area, like everywhere else in South America, has a large dog population, and these will bark all night long, along with the roosters joining in around 4 to 8 am. If you're a light sleeper then this might be an issue for you.
+ The staff was very friendly, helpful and accomodating (especially the old lady and her daughter).
+ They offer airport transport and car rental which were at reasonable prices.
+ They also had a fully equipped kitchen.
