"Clean room, good breakfast-Staff was very accommodating."

"I have used Syracuse Inn multiple times and I have usually had a great experience. My expectations are usually very low, because I am simplistic with demands for a hotel; just need running water/shower and a bed. When I checked in everything is fine, the desk clerk notified me I would be getting towels shortly. I checked in and waited for about 40 minutes and still nothing. I went back up and the same clerk he would be getting one right now. Never showed up. There never really was anyone by the desk when I would leave for the day. Pretty much, I showered with a hand towel that was in the room for two days. The last night, I went to bed and about twenty minutes later I felt something crawling on my left hand. I get out of bed, turn on the lights and saw a cockroach on the bed. This was at midnight and due to the fact that I never saw anyone at the desk, I felt pretty helpless. Slept on the far end of the bed, because I did not want to sleep on the floor. Respectfully, I am thank for the previous stays, but I am trying to find another hotel within the area. If the hotel manager is reading this, please check room 129. Thank you."

"Room was not clean, had a bad smell, bed was super uncomfortable, bathroom mirror was broken and held together with packaging tape."

"Liked: 1) Coffee/Hot water machine provided very hot water. 2) Soap/Lotion dispensers provided good smelling products. 3) Bed was comfortable 4) The one-person staff was polite and apologetic when warranted. Disliked: 1) Continental Breakfast meant no eggs, no bacon, no peanut butter. Other than waffles, which I don’t eat, everything was cold, bare minimal and carbs-heavy. 2) Visible signs of poor maintenance : strip on ground just before entering the lobby was not properly hammered down- a potential for tripping 3) bathroom door handle in the room: missing screw, twisted and not painted properly."
