Staff were friendly and helpful; units were a little out date and could do with a freshened up but still tidy and practical with great water pressure, we stayed 2 nights totally enjoyed our time there with no issues and will definitely return for a longer stay

I booked 4 nights and by the 3rd night, I had enough and left. The aircon didn’t work, nor did the washing machine. There was water seeping up through the tiles on the floor. I booked a cabin for 6 people, yet the utensils provided was for a one man stay. The park and the proximity to the beach was great though.

Washing machine was in property but not working no signs. Manager was excellent washed and dried our clothes. Air conditioning was noisy but very cold so was welcomed.

The location is great . The unit we stayed in was very tired although clean. The bed comfortable. Great bedroom wardrobe but no hangers. The washing machine was broken so pointless to have. This park has great potential but as units are strata titled it’s difficult to assess overall. I’d stay again if could view my particular unit first.

Stayed in shack 52 and it was a complete dump. Ants, marks all over the walls, a strong smell of Indian food, non-locking sliding door, leaky bathroom knobs, filthy carpet, tiny shower and lots more. Straightup gross. They should have paid me to stay there.

We arrived to poorly signposted reception and were then directed to a cabin adjacent. One bed was made, mattress was split the tv cable was ripped apart. We requested a refund and we’re told to go to another room. This one had exposed wiring and dodgy power switches. We again asked for a refund and refused to stay. The caretaker advised that it was an inconvenience to them and withheld a portion of our deposit. We left disappointed and had to try and secure new accommodation late in the afternoon quiet a distance away.

Found it difficult to find the main office to check in. But once we checked in it was lovely. The room was clean but did smell strongly of bleach. Meals from the restaurant were good! A cafe at Haliday bay would be amazing as there is nothing nearby so make sure you pick yourself some food and milk for coffee 😊.

Very confusing trying to get to reception. No obvious entrance to the property, drove around for ages then wound up parking in the caravan area and walking 150 meters to “reception”. Unit interior was clean and functional and appeared to have been painted within the past 12 months. Furniture was functional but quite old and tatty. The bed was the best surprise, extremely comfortable king size. Exterior was quite dirty and in need of repairs, grounds looked abandoned like a scene from a zombie movie.

Accommodation not to our expectations. Washing machine not in the unit, sure the description included. No screen door so reliant on AC for comfort. We were attacked in the room by midges which was very unpleasant.

We struggled to find our cabin as we arrived after 5pm. It was difficult to navigate around the park on the cabin side. Beautiful landscape and wildlife though.

Maintenance of the villa is very poor, need an upgrade urgently - furniture wise and cooking equipment. The stove plate are burnt and the small so called toaster oven is not working. Everything is just dirty.

Only good thing was the bed air conditioner didnt work properly and was leaking fans kept turning themselves off no flyscreens tiles falling off stove couldn't use if i wanted to was rusted out and oven seal was nearly non exsistent furniture has definitely seen better days its a shame because with a little tlc it could be anice place and outside needed fixing and painting looked like nothing has been done for years

The buildings were falling down and some had no guttering at all.The outside of the units was full of mould and pieces missing. We paid for three units and each had an extremely unpleasant odour when you walked in and the sofas smelt of urine. Only one door to each unit was able to slide the other was too warped or unable to move at all.The ground was uneven and dangerous for my elderly parents. There was one good point. The bed was great to sleep on

What a beautiful and peaceful setting! We only stayed for the weekend, but would have liked to be in the area longer. The cabin was clean and comfortable and practical for a family holiday although it couln't be called luxurious. Visitors would need to shop for provisions in Mackay before arriving. Maybe also bring your own electric frypan if staying for awhile. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We really enjoyed our visit.
