"We stayed in sugar hostel for two nights and it was a lovely experience although it started out a little rocky. When we first entered there was a little confusion with the booking. "The most warm welcome I’ve had in Sri Lanka! The hostel manager was so friendly and helpful throughout my stay, I could really recommend the place. Good free breakfast and nice communal areas. Although it was low season and the hostel was quite empty, I still found new friends."

"As a Sri Lankan living abroad who has travelled to many countries, this was a rare and memorable find in Sri Lanka. We had an excellent stay at this beautiful, eco-friendly hotel. It is in a fantastic location, within walking distance of Mirissa Beach, and the property is exceptionally well maintained. The staff were warm, friendly, and always happy to accommodate our requests. A particularly nice touch was being personally greeted by the owners during breakfast, which made us feel genuinely welcome. If you’re looking for a peaceful, sustainable place to stay in Mirissa, I highly recommend this hotel."
