Lokvanjsko Lake is tucked in the foothills of surrounding peaks and frozen during winter. There are few trails that will take you to this lake, but I recommend coming from Mrtvanjski Stanari (a 2 hours long hike). You can return the same way or do a loop hike. Great location opposite the old town and bus station to airport. The route up the hill 70 steps first turn on the left is easier for wheeling luggage. Host is thoughtful with wine, water and juice in the fridge. Room is warm, good size with netflix TV. Hot water boiler very small and bedsheet too ...
