Front desk staff went out of its way to make us feel welcome, which is head and shoulders above the level of customer service in Israel. Our room was rustic but comfortable and situated with a view facing the nearby wadi and surrounding mountains. Amenities were above par, including our pleasant surprise that internet and TV service functioned very well despite the relatively isolated location. Overall, one of the best stays we've had during our four-year assignment to Israel.
stayed at nof zukim for the night with my wife and baby son, the staff were so helpful.
the lodge was well kitted out and the décor was really quite enchanting, a real hidden secret in israels Negev.
This place was awesome. The hottub at night was the best. Outside was coolish and lying there under the stars was amazing. The breakfast is Israeli style and very good. They also have omelette on requests and they were excellent. It's a great place to just unwind and relax during ur travels. I highly recommend it.
We stayed here for one night between visiting Makhtesh Ramon and then the Dead Sea the next day.
Location - It’s a perfect halfway point between the two and we loved being in the middle of the desert where it was peaceful and quiet around us.
Rooms - the place is well represented in the pictures. Very unique, comfortable and clean. I’d say they were really built for two people but we stayed with our two young kids (4 and 6) and it was perfect for us. We loved the setup. We had the mountain view room and it was great.
Property - clean and great features. Our kids loved the pool and horses. There are great spots to do a lot of star gazing and to watch the sunset.
Food - can’t comment as we didn’t do the breakfast there and we didn’t take advantage of the bbq pits. We did go to the cafe Route 90 which was a minute drive away. It was a limited/basic menu but it was sufficient for our needs. 15-20 mins north are some more restaurants plus a grocery store.
Service and hospitality - wonderful. The host was very warm. There was a mixup with our reservation but they were very accommodating and everything worked out perfectly. They even had bed rails and sheet protectors that we could use for our kids though we didn’t need it.
I cannot say enough about how much of an amazing experience it was. A definite must to stay here if you are doing a trip south and/or east!
The guesthouses are really well designed with local materials that help protect against the sun/heat and make for a very local experience. When we weren't exploring the desert the guesthouse was a very comfortable oasis for relaxing. Each is equipped with plenty of cookware and an outdoor BBQ area so we encourage bringing food to make for dinners because there's only one restaurant in Zuqim. The breakfast at the hotel is well worth adding to your reservation. It was above and beyond any other breakfast we had in Israel (and that is saying a lot). We had a great time in our first trip to the Negev Desert.
Everything is perfect: the location, the swimming pool, the room, and the most important thing ... the atmosphere. All the details are perfect, next time I will spend more then one night here.
I came for a few days vacation with my father who was visiting from abroad. When you arrive the scenery is seriously stunning. The cabins are designed to blend in with the desert and immediately we felt calm and at peace. The cabins are perfectly equipped and very clean- with extra bed linens. Each cabin has a hot tub, sofa bed, and extra bed linens.
The place is family run giving it a very comfortable & sweet feel. The Wifi in our cabin did not work 100% and they were very responsive (coming at 10pm to check the issue) and again in the morning. In the end there was no solution to the problem, but the main house (which serves as like a cafe/meeting place) has wifi guests can access-- and honestly, who needs wifi when you're somewhere so beautiful?
There are a few restaurants near by + a gas station with everything you need. The village Nof Tzukim is an artist village with an artist fair every Friday that looks great. You can ride bikes, go for walks, hikes, have a bonfire or BBQ. Can't recommend this place highly enough!
