Arty, jazzy, impeccable service!
I loved my stay at ACC Design Hotel. I came to perform at the Buskers World Games as part of the Chungjang Festival of Recollection, and the location couldn't have been better, it's right in the middle of a vibrant and artistic part of town very close to the Asian Cultural Centre, Art Street, Downtown and many other great places. The best part of my stay was getting to know the staff at bar One Eleven whose hospitality was impeccably fantastic. All the hotel staff were wonderful and friendly, the hotel itself is arty and stylish with beautiful piano music in the lobby gallery and also in the upstairs bar for breakfast and after hours, which creates an intimate jazzy ambience. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, especially for a vegan like myself, with fresh fruit and veggie dishes and rice every morning. I would definitely stay here again when I next come to Gwangju.

The room amenities were not as impressive as other hotels that are half the price. The internet was off the entire time and the air conditioner didn't get cold until late at night. The only thing that was great was the large bathtub.

It was bad...
Room was quite clean but the air conditioner was so loud and pillows are too high.but they don't have extra pillows. Broken hair dryer, small windows, loud air conditioner, and uncomportable bed.

Best hotel I've visited.
This is my favorite hotel I have visited. I will certainly go back. It's in a great location with amazing views (suite). The room was incredible, free breakfast was nice and plenty of variety. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Very clean and looks exactly like the pictures online. I stayed in the creation twin suite. Only issue I had was the terrance tub could have been a little cleaner. But everything else was great. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Great hotel

Great location in a large pedestrian area with lots of shops and restaurants. Some of the staff spoke good English and all were very helpful. Also convenient for accessing public transport and walking distance to the Asian Culture Centre.

Nice hotel, but checkout and breakfast earlier than anywhere else I've stayed lately. Also, be aware that if you are booking for amenities, things are limited. I was super excited about that big hot tub sized bath, but the ware got about a foot deep and then switched off and would not turn on again for the remainder of my stay. It seems there's a limiter. Hugely disappointing.

And if you write down exactly which facilities you are talking about, I'll give them to the manager. The water in the bathtub is controlled by you, so we can't do anything about it. I'm so sorry.

Hotel is in a good location. Lots of restaurants in the area. Feels more like a Korean motel, and not a hotel. Rooms do not have safety boxes. Otherwise, fine.

ACC Design Hotel was perfect for our family of 2 adults, 2 kids in Gwangju. For a smaller city hotel in South Korea, it was a pleasant surprise. The location is fantastic ~ it's right in a central shopping district that had a huge range of shopping and eating and even domestic and international brands such as Uniqlo, H&M, Starbucks, Sulbing, etc. It's near by the Asia Cultural Center (thus the name, which we didn't get to visit, but seems to have a lot to offer), and about 10-15 minutes from the bus terminal. The room we had was larger than your average room, it had 2 large beds, a nice sofa, desk, fridge and storage. Our room had a terrace with a rather large in-ground bathtub/spa that the kids treated as our own private swimming pool. The bathroom was a little small, but serviceable and somewhat nice look and feel. The included breakfast was good, it wasn't spectacular, but had enough to fill us up for each day. The breakfast room was on the 11th floor in a nice 2 story room that spanned the entire floor with views of the city. The lobby team was very helpful, even with a staff member that lived in the US only up until a few years ago, so English was not a problem and he even went above and beyond to help us buy bus tickets and print them at the front desk. The lobby also had pretty nice bathrooms, a small business center and a rather large lobby lounge, but the lounge was always empty. Overall, a great place to stay in Gwangju if you find yourself there.

Great hotel but service should improve
The rooms were great, hotel and design was good. Comfort also very good. BUT however, a few things went wrong. 1. We got announced at arrival that the breakfast was until 10am. We arrived at breakfast at 9:35 and it was closed!!! 2. Next day, we got a plate with fruit, bread etc and as choice of beverage ONLY coffee. My brother doesn't drink that. There should be more offerings (although, after insisting, he got apple juice). 3. Next day, the breakfast was on 11th floor. We thought it would just be a small plate served like the other morning in the lobby. Wrong! It was a buffet! So we arrived as the buffet was closing... a shame. The receptionists should have warned us about the differences between the days. 4. In order to preserve the envoronment, we placed the "do not change the bed sheets" card on the bed. Normally, in hotels, the bed is made and the sheets stay the same. The cleaner did not even make the bed! So it stayed in the same mess. Strange! Conclusion... i liked the hotel and would stay there again. But some points about the service should be improved.

Nice NEW Hotel in Gwangju
Very new, up to date hotel. Rooms were clean, spacious, comfortable beds, with a good breakfast included. The only complaints are that the hallways are very dark - hard to even see your room # and the rooms were very warm and did not see where you could control the temperature. David that was at the front desk. was terrific and got us a large cab to go to the airport and gave the 5 of us an umbrella to take with us as it was pouring rain. He made arrangements for us to store our luggage after check out since we did not leave for a few hours after check out. David was such a big contrast to the other man at the desk that was unfriendly and seemed to be bothered by our questions and requests. The kids nicknamed them, Happy and Grumpy!
I thank you for your command after your experience with A.C.C. Design Hotel. I will bring this issue up during our next meeting with general manager. It was my pleasure serving you and your family. Hope we can serve you in the future time.
