"Conveniently located to the university. Beds were comphy and coffee selection was nice. However when maid came into room to replace towels they didn’t replace coffee used so there was non and I didn’t go to desk to ask as I was in pjs and didn’t expect to have to. However I’d stay again"

"Bras d'Or Lakes Inn was a wonderful place to stay. We were there for a week (Sep 2026) and were very impressed by the friendly staff who went out of their way to make us feel at home. The restaurant served excellent dinners and some nights we also had live music - very enjoyable! It was a good location from which to explore various parts of Cape Breton Island. We highly recommend Bras d'Or Lakes Inn!"

"This was such a lovely surprise after a long travel day. Stunning scenery and a fantastic meal. So relaxing to sit and watch the ocean. Our room had an amazing view and was super comfortable. I highly recommend this property you will be so glad you stayed."

"This was a Tourist Board lodge until 2020, so amenities and cabins are clean if a little dated. However staff are very friendly and restaurant serves hearty breakfast and evening meals. A good place to stay if travelling the east coast"
