"For the price you can't complain. Comfy bed, good shower, 15 minutes walk to the old town. Hundreds of restaurants just outside. Not far from the subway (lindun road stop) Friendly staff. Nothing less than 5 stars from me, I'll come here next time. "

"The hostel is cool and cozy. But still lots of things should be improved. The shower water was too hot and when you adjust to a little bit cold, it became cold totally. And the shower time has been limited. Only one hair dryer in front of the shower room. No seated-toilet. You can experience the traditional way they live. Finally thanks to Ms. Zhang, helped me a lot."

"For dorm bed, towels are not provided although mentioned in the room amenities. Cups/plates/utensils are not available in the kitchen area. You're expected to bring your own. "You will get more than expected for the price you pay for staying here. First of all, me and my group of people had so many last minute arrangements and Steven and his team attended to us attentively, fulfilling all our needs. The place is so near to Muslim Quarter that its so easy to get souvenirs and you will not have a chance to be hungry. This place is extra cosy and all the staffs were so friendly to us. The toilet was cleaned everyday during our stay. Thumbs up to everyone in Alley Youth...

"At the end of the day, it's a hostel. So there's no point having crazy expectations. But it was very nice. And for the value it superseded my expectations. Location was excellent. Right in the best food district. Food around the area was outstanding and incredibly cheap. To the right of the hostel there they have street food, you sit on these white Bench's. Food was amazing,. For 2 dishes, 2 beers it was 30RMB. That's about €2.50 altogether."

"The staff were accommodating. Not suitable for children. Dirty and run down. I have slept in worse so it is what you pay for. Booked a deluxe double room with ensuite. Received a room with 4 bunks and a shared bathroom. Squatting toilet & shower over toilet. I chose this place because of locality, by Shaolin Temple.I won't be booking here again."

"While our stay got off to a rocky start, the staff were very helpful in sorting out some broken appliances. The room was very clean and comfortable. The halls had a lot of visible dust at the carpet edges but otherwise common spaces were also clean. "
