Bell going off every 15 minutes. Not sure if on their property or not. Maybe its a Swiss thing. Person there was fine.

This is not a hotel, it is an OK guest house. Do not confuse it with the Hotel Steinbock up the road in Lauterbrunnen. That said, having seen the number of people in Lauterbrunnen, we were grateful for staying at this guest house. Location on the edge of Wilderswil next to the river is really pleasant. There is a church at one end of the hotel whose bell does ring through the night, but we did not find this disturbed my sleep. There were very few dining / bar options on Wilderswil on a Tuesday in September. We found Luna Piccante to be a nice restaurant 10mins from the guest house.

Unique thing is that the hotel is manage by a simple, humble, and accomodating family. Bus and train station is just 3mins walk from the hotel, which is connects to all other tourist attraction sites. Bridge/river view is coooL! Breakfast presentation is awesome like a five-star hotel. At first, the nearby cemetery is somewhat freaky but it does looK attractive/unique too. I'll definitely choose this hotel again if I'll had another chance to visit switzerland 👌.

Whilst our room was lovely & located in a beautiful village the host/manager treated us very poorly. He was unpleasant, unhelpful & rude. I have not experienced such rudeness before on our many travels & would not return if he was still there.

The area is breath taking. The check-in was smooth. The hotel is right next to a church that rings its bells so if you are a light sleeper or plan to sleep late you should know this. I didn't hear the bells at all while sleeping, and slept very well. Also, the couple is very friendly, and communication was successful, but English is not one of the languages well spoken. The place does not have a lift but that wasn't a problem. I also noticed travel beds for babies. They place was perfect for us.

Our view from balcony was amazing mountain lake the sound of the lake was beautiful, room was nice only 1 minor issue was to have shower you have to seat on the bath tub as the celling is low, also rooms painting needs to change, the picture on the wall.

Great hotel, EXCELLENT location, great staff. The place is very pretty, old covered bridge very close by. Only a few train stops to Interlaken (or 5 min drive) and very close to Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. Great historic place to stay. Highly recommended!!

A Genuine Gem and Swiss Experience
Couldn't be better. Super Hostess. Best Breakfast buffet ever. Old Hotel (400 Years plus?) but that's what is nice. Not outdated , as some would suggest, but Historically a gem and that is what is important. Loved the experience, the decor, the location and would highly recommend this property. Nestled on the edge of a small town, close to everything. Sheep on the hill behind the hotel, an old Cathedral beside the hotel and a river in front of the Hotel and.... Parking included. Loved it. Don’t expect luxury of a standard hotel. This hotel built in 1779 offers real and unfiltered romantic of the Swiss Alps with its river, sheep herd and the church. Just wonderful!

Nice stay very friendly.
Good overnight stay, a bit warm in the room, but I guess Switzerland is often a bit colder than it was when we were there. The hostess couldn’t have been nicer. Really helpful and friendly.

We rented the apartment for 3 days. Very roomy. We did not stay during the days (out hiking and such). The bell tower ringing was the major drawback.

The bed was literally on the floor. It felt like we were sleeping on the floor. This is not a hotel. It’s a small room with a bathroom. We have to sit in the tub to take shower. They do not have a fan nor AC. They will not replace towels for three days. Will not recommend this old stinky full of bugs room to anyone.

My trip to Jungfrau
Hotel is close to train station. Mgr. in charge was very straight forward with everything that needed to be met in order to stay out of trouble at the hotel room. First day we threw some of the towels we used so they could be replaced for clean ones. Housekeeper put them back on the hanger. Bedsheets were not changed. Breakfast was very poor. Nice place next to the river and the mountain. There is a cemetery next to it as well and a little chapel.
