Incredible fairytale stay near the castle.
Le Saint Georges was absolutely magical. Our entire stay in Gruyeres felt like a fairytale. We arrived well before check in but they happily took our luggage and worked with us to take care of check out then since we were leaving quite early the next morning. When we arrived back later in the day to officially get our room, they had already taken our luggage into our room. Our room was small but enchanting with a lovely window that opened up to the main street in Gruyeres. It did not have AC (we knew this ahead of time) but it was equipped with a fan that kept us cool overnight. Our room had a lovely and spacious bathroom with shampoo and conditioner, wash rags, and a spacious shower. The hotel also had great wifi connectivity. The hotel host was incredible as well- unfortunately I didn't catch her name! She advised us to try to get dinner at a certain time as many restaurants in the town close early and when we decided upon eating dinner at the hotel restaurant (which was incredible), the same hotel host was insistent on us getting a table by the window which had the most stunning view of the mountains during sunset. I would absolutely recommend that anyone visiting Gruyeres come to Le Saint Georges.

First time in Gruyères
For a one night visit to Gruyères, this was a great place to stay. Everyone in the hotel was very nice and accommodating. They upgraded us to a view side room which was very pretty. A very cute hotel! The staff provided guidance and recommendations for our stay that was very helpful.

Fairytale Stay
The staff was friendly and courteous, the building had character and was clean. I loved opening the upper bedroom window and looking out over the village courtyard, hearing the fountain trickle, and watching the fade away as it grew dark and the lights came in.

A first trip to Gruyere was fantastic. A beautiful, historic town. Le Saint George was a perfect location to enjoy Gruyere. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. The pizza in the restaurant was exceptional!!

I was traveling with my 20s something daughter and found this hotel to be perfect. We decided to go to Gruyeres on the recommendation of several Swiss we had met along our journey. This hotel was perfect for our stay-located in the middle of the village and an easy walk to the castle and other things. But the best part was the staff-they were so wonderful and friendly

This was a lovely place with delicious breakfast, but the real highlight was the service. Joulia made our stay a 5-star experience! She was wonderful, knowledgeable, and full of help and recommendations. Our trip to Gruyeres was an absolute joy, and she was a huge part of that!

This hotel is a family run gem. It was amazing how the entire staff knew me whenever I came into the hotel. It was also great to see how helpful they were. The only difficulty part with the hotel is parking a car. However that’s nothing with this hotel because all the hotels in the village had the same problem. If you try to park a car between 12pm-3pm you will have a hard time finding a spot. However anytime prior or after that there is no problem. The hotel offered fun suggestions on things to do during that time if I happen to come back when it’s crowded. There is a lot to do and see within a 10 minute drive from this hotel. 10/10 recommend this hotel. It’s a fun and very small hotel with very large rooms. I love it!

Fairy Tale Hotel!
Le Sain Georges hotel a hotel in a fairy tale. Located in old Gruyeres, it is a small and quaint hotel that is full of charm. The hotel staff is first rate and made me feel at home. The breakfast is DELICIOUS, the beds were super comfortable and wished we were staying longer in Gruyeres. Already recommended this hotel to friends.

Lovely Hotel
Nice hotel with great location right down from the castle in the middle of the historic village. Lots of charm. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was very good.

Beautiful historic hotel in the center of the ancient town of Gruyere. Room on the street side was a bit noisy at night as it is right on the Main Street. Beds are small for someone 6 feet tall. Fondue at the hotel restaurant was excellent and service was very good.

Unfortunate ending, but pleasant stay
It started well but unfortunately ended a little bad. The place is worth the effort. Being right in the center of town is great. Honestly, everything went well except where I was told to park, and I asked 3 times to confirm on the phone I parked in the correct spot, lead to a parking ticket. If I parked without asking, or without reading the signs, which I did and asked about and was told to ignore that they never have a problem, I would give it all 4 stars. I was told that the person who told me to park may have been distracted and gave me incorrect information. All easily fixed if they just paid the ticket and apologized, which they did not. A very frustrating ending, as I rented a car and now am back in the US and have to deal with this.

The hotel was kept nicely. It had the charm that fit in with surrounding area. It was clean. Unfortunately bed was extremely short (which may be a European thing). I’m5’8” and was to tall for the bed).

Loved historic Gruyeres
The historic hotel in the car free section of Gruyères was lovely. We had a very small room overlooking the charming cobblestone street. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent and Swiss wines and cheese were delectable. The chateau Gruyeres is a very s short walk and well worth visiting. The Gruyeres cheese factory is a 10 min. Walk and very interesting. Would stay there again.

Very nice hotel.
Hotel staff was very professional. They allowed us to check in a couple of hours early. Room was spacious and very clean. We had a great view from our room. I would definitely stay here again.
