We really enjoyed the stay at Le Saint Georges. The hotel’s services and decor are all done very nicely. We also enjoyed our fondu experience at the hotel restaurant with spectacular view setting. It is nice to stay overnight in Gruyère to allow you enjoying hiking in surrounded area and visiting the castle in early opening hour without crowd. The castle has a lot of nice collections, we enjoyed this castle museum visit more than the Chillon one.

Staff was amazing! Room was small but nice. I would recommend getting a room facing the back. Lots of cars coming and going through the "car free" town and construction that started early in the morning. Cool town though.

Overall, the hotel is well maintained and the restaurant offers a beautiful view. However, our bathroom drain was clogged, making it difficult to shower comfortably. The room was also very warm, with no air conditioning, and the small windows made the space feel cramped. While the property is nice overall, the room itself was not as comfortable as we had hoped.

Location can’t be beat- right on the square, Hotel is charming with very friendly and helpful staff. The only problem is with the charm of an old building comes the lack of modern conveniences- namely air conditioning. No hotel on the square will have a.c, thought, and the room does have a fan to help, so it is manageable.

The view from our room was a breathtaking Mountain View. The breakfast was astounding, with many fresh pastries and other great, high-quality options. Alex, the hotel manager, went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. The property was ideally positioned within the town of Gruyère. We could not have been more happy with our stay!
