Wir hatten von einer Suite für das Geld mehr erwartet. Wir waren noch nie in einer so kleinen Suite, war nur etwas größer als ein Standard Zimmer. Ausstattung und Zustand waren auch nicht gut. Nur der Whirlpool wusste zu überzeugen. Wir hatten mehr erwartet und wollten einen besonderen Tag verbringen. Die Mitarbeiter und das Frühstück waren allerdings top!

The staff were friendly, and spoke good English. They have a very good breakfast. There was a relaxed vibe with interesting animal themed interior design. The staircases are steep and the rooms need to be repainted at some point. Overall, I liked the place and would come back here again.

Het hotel is echt een beetje vergane glorie. Ziet er smoezelig uit en heeft aan uitstraling verloren. Is van een mooi, historisch hotel van jaren geleden een beetje low buget hotel geworden. Kamer was heel simpel en slordig ingericht. Niets bijpassend. Prijs/kwaliteitverhouding niet helemaal ok.

Great location and wonderful breakfast

We stayed here for four nights and had a great experience. It was a short walk to the nearest bus stop, the Martinitoren, the Forum, restaurants, small shops, and there is a grocery store practically across the street. The breakfast spread is amazing, with hot food, pastries galore, and even champagne! Hot coffee and tea are available throughout the day with their self-service machines. I can't say enough about the friendly staff who treated us so kindly and always with a smile. The hotel is very old, but has been remodeled recently. You may notice that those are real zebra heads mounted in the entryway, but there is a positive story about them. They actually died naturally at the zoo, and instead of feeding them to the lions, the zoo taxidermied them and sold them as a fundraiser. I definitely will stay here the next time we visit Groningen.

Wunderschönes altehrwürdiges gebäude mit einem schönen innenhof, sehr freundliches Personal. Tolles Frühstücksbuffet, das eine große Auswahl an Speisen bietet. Kein Zimmer gleicht dem anderen. Manche räume gehen über zwei Etagen. Ich hatte ein sehr geräumiges Zimmer.

Das Hotel ist in einem wunderschönen alten Haus und sehr gut vom Bahnhof und der Innenstadt aus zu erreichen. Ich musste mehrmals lange warten um meinen Schlüssel abzugeben oder wieder zu bekommen denn die Rezeption war zwar 24 Stunden besetzt aber es war nicht 24 Stunden jemand da. Das Einzelzimmer war sehr sehr klein und das Fenster nicht zu öffnen. Außerdem lag es zum Hof und dort war bis tief in die Nacht Lautstärke und Trubel der anderen Dachterrassen. Bei einem Preis von 83 € für eine Nacht hätte ich mir etwas mehr Komfort gewünscht.
