Pleasant Surprise
Absolutely wonderful experience. Was simply looking for nice place to rest halfway between designated vacation points, but found so much more. Warm welcome by owner and staff. Such a great experience, planning a longer stay in the near future.

Beautiful View, Attentive Staff
We stayed at the Eigerblick the first part of June 2018. I can't say enough good things about this hotel! The rooms were simple and comfy. If you get a room in the back end of the hotel the views......THE VIEWS!!!!! my gosh. The staff, manager, and owner were EXTREMELY accommodating. We had an issue of a very loud tour group in the hotel. I went down to speak to the manager to find out how long they were staying (they kept us up all night and this was NOT the hotels fault in any way shape or form) and he immediately made it right for us. switched our room to a room in the back of the hotel with magnificent views (which they didn't have to do because the tour group was leaving as i was speaking to them about it. ) The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure the rest of our stay was perfect .......and it was. I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting the jungfrau region. the train is easy to catch as it is a 10 minute walk down the road. Switzerland can be quite expensive.....especially when shopping accommodations.....and this hotel was a great value. Highly recommend!

Eigerblick is a well appointed hotel but bathroom had Mould in the grout and around the shower screen base, behind toilet seat and dirt, dark in the towel warmer grill. For a facility that seems recently renovated this is just bad housekeeping. Breakfast room had food and butter stuck to the floor, hot food was cold and was virtually empty after we had been asked to schedule our breakfast after 8 am. They attempted to make things a little better walking through the butter and food on the floor. We have been traveling for a month through Spain Sicily Italy sorry this was the worst.

This is the first time I write a review on anywhere and I think the experience is worth noting. Just as in other reviews, the hotel is nice although a bit old (20 years, as I was told by the manager ). The bedside table is linked with a board sticked to the wall as in the photos. On the first night the board falls from the wall. We did put water on the bedside table, but litterly a bottle of water and nothing else. Luckily we weren’t sleeping on the pillows that were right under the board at that time. One mistake we made was not calling them and reporting at night, as there was nobody on reception after 10pm. The next day the room was cleaned, so we wrongly assumed they’ve noticed the broken bed which turned out they didn’t. After we checked out did they find out and ask for a fine. We were blamed for breaking the bed which we didn’t. After negotiation we paid a smaller fine, I take it for not reporting promptly. The hotel is nice and our room is with mountain views, 15-20 mins walk from either Grindelwald or Grund train station, 30 mins walk or there’s a bus to the cable station. The staffs are nice and work long hours, and the manager is polite and sensible. The room is clean, but from our unfortunate experience it’s probably a bit out of maintenance. Overall it’s still a nice place to stay in Grindelwald, but better check the condition and facilities of your room when you check in.

Dear Guest, It is not normal that a wall mounted board comes out without exerting extra force. I came to your room and verified it myself. In Switzerland we have insurance, if anything is damaged by the guest, but we have to pay up to CHF 500 and only on top of this amount it is paid by the insurance. I told you I will charge CHF 200, but at the end I charged CHF 50 only, on top I took you to the railway station in my personal car. In the reception you have the information, after 10 pm you can call the number. The telephone number is also on your reservation confrimation. I tried my best to make it as low as possible for you. For your kind information, it costed as CHF 300 to get it fixed. Hours and the material, so I hope you understand my predicament. For sure, if you come again we will make extra effort to make you happy. All my apologies for all the inconvenience that was caused to you. Regards, Mgt Eigerblick

2-day trip to Grindelwald
The reception was very helpful about everything, she even told us we were upgraded to a room with a view which was very nice. Breakfast is decent, the only missing thing was some kind of fresh fruit but otherwise ok. The rooms were a bit old, but decently clean, especially for the price. Beds and pillows were definately subpar. Location is good, the bus stop is very nearby. Overall good, but you get what you pay for so don't expect the most modern place.

Passé une nuit ici. Décoration, mobilier et salle de bain vieillot mais de qualité et très propre. Beau buffet de petit déjeuner, croissants frais excellents (pas du précuit réchauffé).

Bevor wir das Hotel gebucht haben, haben wir uns auf der Website informiert, ob man ein Covid Zertifikat benötigt. Auf der Website stand nichts dergleichen. Im Hotel angekommen wollte der unfreundliche Herr an der Rezeption uns nicht reinlassen weil ich kein Zertifikat (2G) hatte. Das Geld wollten sie mir aber auch nicht zurückgeben…Ich konnte lediglich einen negativen PCR Test zeigen. der Herr meinte, dass ich hätte anrufen sollen und mich informieren müssen ob das Hotel eine 2G Regelung hat. Nach einer unangenehmen Diskussion durfte ich schlussendlich das Zimmer betreten. Ich durfte mich jedoch nicht in der Lobby aufhalten oder irgendwo sonst… Das Zimmer war etwas älter eingerichtet. Das Bad war in einem schlechten zustand und sehr sehr alt. Die Aussicht war jedoch schön, es hatte einen grossen Balkon und das Bett war bequem. Ich werde jedoch niemehr einen Aufenthalt hier buchen und würde es auch niemandem empfehlen der auf Freundlichkeit wert legt.

A bit away from town centre but nice view
I was there only one night for a ski trip with my daughter. The hotel is a bit up the road from the town centre, but there is a nice view towards the famous Eiger North Face. Room was quite OK and reception staff was very friendly.

Die Sicht auf den Eiger ist einmalig. Das Hotel ist sehr gut erreichbar - liegt direkt bei einer Bushaltestelle. Wir haben ohne zu fragen einen Zimmer-Upgrade erhalten. Preis-/Leistung hervorragend und sehr freundlicher Service. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können dieses Hotel sehr gut empfehlen.

Das Hotel benötigt eine kleine renovation. Der Zustand lässt zu wünschen übrig. Die Lage und Aussicht wären richtig schön! Ruhig ist es auch (draussen) innen recht ringhörig.

Déception malgré la vue sur l'Eiger
Chambre propre et vaste avec balcon, canapé lit pour les enfants peu confortable, cassure au niveau du dos! Peu d'entretien autour de l'hôtel (ex. terrasse), accueil insatisfaisant ou explications peu claires... pas de petit déjeuner, avant 7h30 pour les marcheurs!! En lieu et place un box avec sandwich de pain toast (pas toasté! moutarde), Yogourt, barre de céréale, pomme et un capri-sun!! Le café pas avant 7h15, le personnel arrive à 7h00!

전면에 펼쳐진 아이거북벽 전망이 멋짐. 그린델발트역에서 도보 15분. 멀어서 불편. 시설 및 조식은 좋은편. 직원도 친절. 인터라켄 쪽에 저렴한 숙소 있으면 그쪽 이용이 합리적임. 굳이 그린델발트에 비싸게 숙박할 이유는 없어 보임. 어차피 융프라우나 다른 곳 올라가면서 기차에서 아이거북벽 실컷 볼테니.

房間舒適寬敞，客製化早餐非常豐盛，離車站步行約10-15分鐘，稍遠，但反而可以欣賞沿途小鎮風光，而不會只是上去少女峰就下來了，強烈推薦

그린델발트에 숙박한 이유는 아이거북뷰때문이었고 호텔방도 뷰가 나오는 방으로 예약했어요. 역에서 좀 떨어져 있어서 이동하는데 조금 힘들었는데 시간을 잘 맞춰서 버스타고 이동하면 금방일 것 같아요^^ 첨에 직원이 없어서 당황했는데 여차저차 잘 해결되었고, 방에 들어가기 전에 컵라면 먹을 수 있게 물도 끓여주시고 감동했어요ㅠㅠ (바에서 먹게 해주셨음ㅠㅠ) 짐 두고 나갔다가 늦게 체크인하면서 사온 음식 데워달라고 요청드렸는데 그릇에 담아주시고 식기도 주셔서 놀랐어요^^ 데우는 동안 직원분과 얘기하면서 아이거북뷰 보려고 방 예약했다했더니 확인하시고 더 좋고, 잘보이는 방으로 바꿔주셔서 너무 행복했어요..(나중에 알고 봤더니 그 분이 사장님이셨다는..) 2박 했는데 마주칠때마다 친근하게 대해주시고 이것저것 챙겨주시려고 하셔서 너무 감사했답니다. 이 호텔의 가장 큰 장점은 조식을 먹는 식당이었어요. 와... 아마 식당에서 가장 멋진 아이거북뷰를 보실 수 있으실꺼예요. 조식 많이 안먹는 편인데 눈이 즐거우니 음식도 잘 들어가더라구요 ㅋㅋ 커피도 직접 타주시고.. 여행중 가장 행복한 조식이었던 것 같아요. 2박이 넘 아쉬웠어요ㅠㅠ 기차에서 만난 분들께 호텔도 추천해드리고 ㅋㅋ 그린델발트 다시 방문하게되면 이 호텔에 또 갈 것 같아요. 사장님, 직원 언니 넘 감사했어요^^

Hotel muy bonito, tranquilo y con grandes vistas
Hotel algo alejado del centro pero al lado para el autobus que en 5 minutos te deja allí (el billete es gratuito durante los días de estancia y te lo facilita el hotel). Muy tranquilo y acogedor, se descansa muy bien. Lo mejor es la atención del recepcionista, el Sr. Michael, todo amabilidad y profesionalidad. Muy recomendado en todos los sentidos.

환상적인 경치
그린델발트역에서 조금 떨어져 있지만 무료버스를 이용할 수 있고 경치가 아주 좋습니다. 아침 식사시에 스위스의 아름다운 마을을 감상할 수 있습니다.

Schöne Aussicht
Die tolle Aussicht von den Fenstern und vom Balkon aus hat uns gut gefallen; das Familienzimmer war geräumig und mit Teekocher etc. ausgerüstet. Zu verbessern wäre u.E. die Freundlichkeit; das Zimmer war ausserdem das teuerste unserer 14-Tage-Reise. Als wir eintrafen, war zuerst niemand am Empfang, sodann wurde lange nach unserer Reservation gesucht. Auf unsere Frage, wo wir unser Auto lassen könnten, wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, wir hätten bei der Buchung anmerken müssen, dass wir ein Auto dabei hätten, man müsse abklären, ob im Parkhaus gegenüber noch ein Platz zu haben sei. Immerhin wurde doch noch ein Parkplatz gegenüber gefunden, den wir für einen Tag und eine Gebühr benutzen konnten - Hotelgäste, die nach uns ankamen, fanden jedoch keinen Parkplatz mehr, wie wir mitbekamen.
