Top Grindelwald Hotel Reviews
Eiger Mountain & Soul Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent location, lovely staff and nice rooms."
Hotel Spinne
10/10 Excellent
"Unbelievable place to stay! Staff were lovely and very helpful to every question we had. New gym nearby with a discount code for being a guest at the hotel. Staff kept pool open an extra 30 minutes for us as we were late back from our days out and wanted to experience it before we left. Views from the rooms were amazing. Breakfast was great - with a big window to come down and get breakfast when we wanted."
Hotel Bernerhof Grindelwald

"5/5 ⭐️ I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel! To be honest, when we first arrived in Grindelwald, I wasn’t sure it would be my favorite stop. We stayed here specifically because we wanted to experience Grindelwald first—and I’m SO glad we did. The Mountain Carts and Trotbikes are a MUST! The front desk staff was incredibly helpful from the moment we arrived. They were happy to hold our bags until check-in, and they even recommended visiting some of the smaller towns in the area, including Mürren, which we ended up visiting and absolutely loved. Our room was fabulous! It had a door that opened directly onto a balcony, which was our only balcony of the entire Switzerland trip—and it was incredible. After being out exploring and hiking all day, having a private outdoor space to sit and relax for a bit was such a nice touch. When I go back to Switzerland, I’ll definitely be looking for more hotels with balconies! The complimentary buffet breakfast was also very, very good. Definitely make sure breakfast is included in your stay—it’s worth it! Overall, this was a wonderful stay and a great home base for exploring Grindelwald and the surrounding area. Highly recommend!"

"We are just flying home from our 4 night stay in Grindlewald. It was a special trip for my Husband’s 40th Birthday and it has been nothing but magical. The Hotel was perfect. Rooms were beautiful and cleaned daily. Staff were so helpful especially Sarah! Thanks four your hiking recommendation of Pfingstegg to Baregg - we thoroughly enjoyed it! Sarah & Chris room 120 🙂"

"Clean room. Great staff and excelent breakfast"
Aspen alpin lifestyle hotel Grindelwald
10/10 Excellent
"View from both of our rooms was spectacular. Restaurant was very good. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, especially the driver that transported us to and from the hotel. Hotel is outside the town in a rural area with stunning views of Grindelwald (there is a bus that stops at the hotel). One of our rooms was very large and quite nice. The other room was smaller but still nice. Only minor concern is we booked two suites but the quality of the rooms were vastly different. It's unclear if one room was upgraded or the other was downgraded... but the hotel was so beautiful we didn't bother to ask about it. Very highly recommend."
Hotel Alpenhof

"Our room had a balcony with a spectacular view of the mountain. The room was nice. We could hear the room next door move furniture, but it was not bad. The hotel was very close to downtown, but seemed like in the countryside. We highly recommend this hotel"
Eiger Lodge Easy

"Since it was summer, the warmer temperatures meant that we had to open the windows to allow air to circulate and keep the room comfortable. This unfortunately also meant that noise from the surrounding areas was more noticeable. One thing we could have done differently was request a fan earlier. We only learned that fans were available and requested one on our last night, so we were unaware of this option during the earlier part of our stay. Our room was adjacent to the restaurant and cafeteria. Although these areas were closed, some guests continued to sit in the eating area and chat until around midnight. We found the noise quite disruptive, especially when we were trying to sleep. We had assumed that 10 p.m. would generally be considered a reasonable time for quiet hours. As a suggestion, the hotel may wish to consider implementing a clear quiet-hours policy after 10 p.m., particularly for common areas located near guest rooms. A gentle reminder to guests to keep conversations and noise to a minimum after 10 p.m. would help create a more comfortable and restful environment for everyone. Overall, we appreciate the efforts of the hotel and hope this feedback can help improve the experience for future guests."
