We were in cabins 11 and 12 and from our front porch you could not see the ocean but you could definitely hear it. There is access to the beach less than a 1 minute walk from property. Pancake Rocks and Blowholes is less than a 10 minute away. Accomodations were comfortable,clean and well stocked. Would recommend this property.

The hotel cottages are a rocks throw away from a beautiful beach. The rooms with charming and quite well taken care of except our room did have one wall that several of the outlets were not working.

This property was “okay.” The bed was comfortable and the location is very convenient—you can easily walk to most things in the area. The biggest issue for us was the bathroom. The sink is extremely small and there’s essentially no counter or shelf space, so there’s nowhere to put toiletries—especially challenging for two people. The mirror is also mounted low. My husband is 6’4” and had to bend at an awkward angle just to see himself while shaving, and even then the lighting made it difficult. The bathroom lighting is very dim and behind you, so we ended up turning on the heat lamps just to light up the shadows—even then, tasks like shaving or putting on makeup were still challenging. Ironically, the hallway is lite up like an Xmas tree thanks to the emergency lighting outside the bedroom. The illuminated evacuation signs are insanely bright and spill a lot of light into the bedroom, so we had to keep the bedroom door closed. Since there’s no air conditioning, that also meant losing any cross-breeze to keep the room cool. Aside from those points, the place is comfortable enough and the location is a real plus. With some improvements to the bathroom and lighting situation, it would be a much better experience for guests.

Nice place to stay in Punakaiki with some amazing views in the area. Very clean with lots of space, and in a great convenient location. Right next to a really nice beach, and just a couple minutes away from the Pancake Rocks. Parking is a little bit tight, but off-street and convenient. Check in is located at the Punakaiki Rocks Hotel & Garden Bar a short walk down the road, which is also a nice place to grab some food and a drink. We would definitely consider staying here again!

The space was very large. A kitchen a living room area. The bathroom was spacious and there were two beds. The only issue was Google Maps took us to the wrong location (apparently that keeps happening) but after a long day of travel it took longer than expected to find the place. A simple message to guests would be helpful. Other than that it was a great location and space

Less than 1 km from Punakaiki rocks. We rented a 1 bedroom cabin, it was more like a beautiful little home. Well supplied kitchen, sofa in the living room, separate bed and bath area and a laundry sink. A wonderful porch with table and chairs and an outside grill and picnic table. We had a wonderful meal at the restaurant. I highly recommend Punakaiki Beachfront Motels cabins. I wish we could have stayed longer. Very large and welcoming living areas.
