Our overnight stay here was great. Upon arriving we were asked if we wanted to dine in the restaurant that night and reserved us a spot (the food was delicious so highly recommend). The accommodation was spacious and had everything we needed plus the bed was comfy. I would definitely stay here again.

I arrived late after missing my train. The owner and his partner helped me immensely trying to figure out my next moves to get to where I needed to go the next day. Truly, they both were so kind and helpful and went above and beyond. The hotel is lovely, quaint, and clean. Breakfast was incredible. Thank you to the folks here. I would highly recommend staying at this establishment.

In Chiocchio about 10 minutes north of central Greve. The hotel is better than advertised. The owner is extremely helpful and accommodating who had the room set at a comfortable temperaturedue to the cooler weather. Lots of parking across the street. Comfortable bed, roomy bathroom, nice private outside balcony facing back of nicely landscaped greenery.

The best stay in Tuscany

Absolutely wonderful stay, the rooms were beautiful and very clean with amazing views. The host, Francesco is amazing and also serves as the waiter/bartender at the restaurant downstairs. Speaking of the restaurant, everything we ate, both nights we were there was fresh and the best food we ate in Tuscany.

Belle situation à 30 minutes de Florence et sur la route principale. Les chambres sont très confortables et propres. Et pour le restaurant c’est le meilleur endroit que nous avons mangé. Le propriétaire de l’établissement nous donne de très bon conseils. Nous y retournerons notre séjour fût trop court!

Impeccably clean property, very friendly staff, nice breakfast. Room included balcony with a beautiful view, which was an unexpected bonus. Internet connection was quite unstable; but that might be the issue all over the area. Hot water was not always there, despite water heater tank being turned on; a couple of lukewarm showers did not spoil a very pleasant overall impression, but this is something for the hotel to fix, going forward.

This is a small hotel with a restaurant downstairs. Both the hotel and the restaurants are amazing, Francesco (the owner/host) is amazing too. The rooms are clean, comfortable, with sparkling bathrooms and A/C. Ours had a lovely balcony. The restaurant serves delicious food and is a great place to be, and Francesco is an amazing host there. You should definitely stay here, and you should also eat here--you will not regret either choice. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be returning to Locanda Il Gallo.

Perfect in the middle of Tuscany

This hotel is in the middle of Tuscany /Chianti area. We were driving daily from the hotel around Tuscany to visit Florence, Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano etc. If one is not driving, the bus stop is in front the hotel. This is a small hotel and Francesco went out his way to be the perfect host. Rooms are very clean, with good WiFi, and nothing was missing from services/ amenities. In the hotel there is a fine restaurant cheffed by Alessio and his son where we daily dined. Their special dishes made our day all the more enjoyable and complete with Tuscany experience. Do not look any further.

De ce petit hôtel bien placé dans le Chianti, entre Florence et Sienne, j'ai pu découvrir toute cette belle région, en profitant des conseils de l'hôtelier. Il faut aussi souligner que ce dernier avait fait un effort tout particulier pour accueillir comme il se doit ma fille qui est totalement intolérante au gluten.

Great gem in the middle of wine country

The place is small and charming, a perfect hideout. The people running it are wonderfully welcoming and nice. The food at the restaurant is absolutely delicious.

Great location

Great location for exploring the Chianti area and Florence. A bus departs in front of the hotel to Florence or if you have a car it is an easy drive in., staff will advise where to park. Room clean, great air conditioning, very comfortable, quiet had a room out the back. Breakfast waa delicious down in the attached restaurant, which served high quality meals of an evening. Parking opposite the hotel, staff friendly and helpful.
