The hotel does not reflect a 5 star standard. Building works/finishing detracts from the guest experience, with visible holes in ceilings, exposed wires, poor paintwork, and unfinished plasterboard. A private pool appeared to be green and poorly maintained.
My room had maintenance issues, including a faulty toilet and a bathroom door that didn’t close as the hole was not drilled in for the latch (basic expectation). Cleanliness in communal areas could also be improved — room service trays consistently left in corridors overnight and seemed messy.
Housekeeping staff were friendly. However, restaurant staff were less approachable, often focused solely on tasks and not particularly warm or engaging. A simple greeting or smile was often missing. The hotel manager also came across as distant and unwelcoming, and the general atmosphere among staff seemed tense.
The rooms were soundproof which was great. The beach had comfy beds, however the main pool was super busy with people reserving beds early in the AM, and I even saw guests from other hotels (given away by their towels) use the pool, adding extra congestion, and it wasn't policed by staff.
Not much around the area within walking distance, but if you have a hire car / quad bike you'll be in easy reach of many beaches, restaurants and Lindos Town.
Overall, the hotel has potential, but several aspects fall short of the quality and service expected from a 5 star property.
