"Easy parking , friendly and helpful staff, excellent clean and modern room. Dinner menu limited, but great breakfast and plenty of it"

"Traditional hotel in the centre of town. Large bedroom and en-suite bathroom, but both rather run-down and tired. Example: plenty of space in the bedroom but no chair to sit on. Potential for a “window seat“, but no cushion there. Staff were great, though."

"The Inn is perfectly located for enjoying Kirkby Stephen. The staff - especially Jacqui - is super helpful and kind. Really enjoyed our brief time there. Our friends who stayed down the street were wishing they had booked here. Be prepared to carry luggage upstairs and know the bed isn’t super big by American standards. "

"Excellent value for money. Breakfast was great. Evening meals very filling and tasty. Overall nice place to be. Some of the cleanliness side of things in rooms could be improved but cannot complain about the helpful accommodating staff."

"Loved the old 17th century beams in the rooms and the uneven floors. Property was very quiet - even with the Football World Cup semi-final on while we were there. Staff were all incredibly helpful and loved the breakfast. 100% recommend and would love to take my dog next time as they are very dog friendly (they get a sausage at breakfast!)."

"Ideal for a couple break, in my opinion, not as much for solo business travelling. Rooms are hot but fan was provided when asked. It’s an old building bathrooms could a be bit nicer but feeling of the hotel is great. All beautifully maintained outside and excellent spot for walking. Hence 5 stars review"
