Budget Host Great Lakes hotels

"We were in Niagara Falls at the end of April/beginning of May. The hotel is a bit dated, shower was not great, but was clean and the room was large (two queen beds and a couch). Unfortunately, I did not notice that I chose a room with a 'hotel view', which is a wall view. This was my bad, however, hotel should consider this not to be such small print. It can also be mentioned when confirmation is sent and/or during the check in. Staff were all very nice and accommodating. The restaurant on site with a buffet breakfast is convenient, but the breakfast was not very good and I would not recommend it. Pool, gym were great. Overall the stay was pleasant."

"The hotel looks really cool as it’s really old. The rooms are very basic, a coffee maker and a tiny tv. The south tower is right on the train line so it can be noisy with the train rattling past. The staff was nice. We didn’t use many of the amenities (like restaurants) so I can’t comment on them. The location is great for touring around Chicago as you’re right downtown on Michigan Ave"

"My mom and I decided to do a girl’s trip to Chicago, and River Hotel was one of the best decisions we made. The staff were so friendly, the rooms were clean, and there were plenty of amenities. My mom especially loved the complimentary Nespresso in our room. My only qualm with the hotel was how thin the walls were at our hotel. We could hear the neighbors, though muffled. It’s an older hotel, to be frank. "

"Very nice and clean hotel. The only down fault is parking. It cost $70 a night to park at the hotel and if you don’t want to pay that then you have to go down the street and park somewhere else for cheaper."

"We experienced a significant delay during check-in due to the unavailability of our reserved room, and we were subsequently offered a single bedroom accommodation despite having children with us, or faced the prospect of waiting several hours."

"As I was checking in I was told my car can not be parked in their parking garage they suggested I go to 3 blocks away for parking horrible, when I get to my room it’s smelled like old restroom had rust stains in the morning I had a coffee in the room and all the creamer they gave was expired and horrible clumps, the hotel once again had no food because area was under construction it’s was horrible "

"Our stay at Hilton was wonderful! The views were amazing!!! The only complaint I have is the parking a block away for 40$ plus tax, where there was available parking right across the street for 10-20$ depending on location. I wished I was informed of that before I paid 40$ plus for parking a block away from Hilton:("
